Starry Ceiling is a modern, romantic pop track that was created within the sorrow of lockdown. The song is inspired by hope & affection getting us through recent times, where romance & human interaction have been severely deprived, a message that I'm sure will resonate with millions. I collaborated remotely with the talented singer Harry Jones to create my first solo production to be released commercially and we're both very happy with the end product, I hope you feel the same way as we do.

Pharaoh

The Tide

For this release, that coincidentally came out on  Record Store Day 2016, I spent about 3 months downloading as many of the thousands of songs released on Record Store Day 2015. I think I managed to find about 85% of them and it almost killed me. I may as well have stabbed myself in the ears and eyes with a spike of frozen shit.

I then made 'slabs' of noise by layering about 100 songs at a time on top of each other on Garage Band, creating 100 or so of these 4-5 minute slabs of dirge before sending them to Harry Wright (Naturals/Giant Swan) to try and make a song out of them all. 

Predictably, he came back with something really excellent, and then I probably went and ruined it by using the Cut Up Technique, going through all of the names of the releases and cutting words at random, forming them into some kind of gibberish that I whispered over the track.

Whoever bought the 7" also received our full back catalogue.

Thought I'd put it up today as it is the final day of our 5th Birthday Week, and seems like a good time to let people know just how stupid we (well, me) really are.

Drogo are a 4 piece melodic hard rock band from the South West of England. 
Culminating in a main stage set at The O2 Academy Bristol, they finished third place out of a total of 60 bands, and finished as the highest placing rock band. Their debut EP NTMA was released last year, and Drogo are set to release more music later this year.
