Phonique returns to Bar 25 Music with the new release, this time made in collaboration with Bolivian-born and Brazil-based artist Bakka. To date, Bakka has released music on many of the industry's most respected labels including This Never Happened, Sprout, Armada, Ministry Of Sound, Sony Music, Bunny Tiger, and many others. We are glad to have him and Phonique with their ¨Spektre¨ EP on the label.

The record contains two original tracks — ¨Spektre¨ and ¨Beat Frequency¨, both have some sort of weird "afro-non-afro" sound mixed with strong bass-lines and deep melodic sounds. As Bakka explains, “it was made to be played on any kind of set, but the main idea was to play them live with the analog equipment.” Tracks was recorded using Moog Subsequent 25, Moog Subharmonicon, Moog Little Phatty, Roland TR8, Korg Volca, Novation Peak, Roland TB-3. The titled original track is complemented with a remix by a prolific Greek producer and “All Day I Dream” resident — DSF.
