The Outlander

New single from my upcoming Void EP. This track resulted from a personal challenge - to create a track using only one synth I hadn't used much before - in this case, FL Studio's native FLEX plugin. Can't overstate how much fun it was to take it to the edges of its capabilities and coax out the sounds I wanted - everyone who owns FL Studio should give it a try ASAP! Huge shoutout to @saif_sameer - his FLEX preset pack was a huge part of this track. Big ups as well to the inimitable Burning Chrome Art (IG: https://www.instagram.com/burningchromeart/) for the most excellent album art! Aurion was born out of a reversed creative process – instead of building the foundation first, I let my random plonks take the lead. Five unique voices intertwine and rise together toward the end, like a phenomenon of light breaking through the dark.

It is both raw and unrefined, a piece where mechanical energy collides with dreamlike warmth – a hymn to the movement between chaos and harmony. Aurion became a pure release for my recent hectic days. When I finally found a quiet moment for myself this morning, it felt only natural to let it be released in its rawest form.
