Today is Sunday 8/27/23. Almost a year passed by in this dark tunnel. Ive progressed a lot though, not seeing the light yet, but I can confidently talk ab it now. I believe the days are getting or will be getting a lot better. I have hope, we must hope. Without hope, what else we can swing to? The nightmares are still going on, but I want to believe that all the darkness is being cleared out. The first playlist that I started when the trial started, finally ended and got to 500. The start of this new playlist with my winning picture is a hope, is a sign to the light, to the better day.

This mix bears nearly three hours of winding explorations as James DJed for a lounge of interlocking bodies: 
–drifters in obscure motion and silent during a non-verbal hour.

There were paper and pens, so people wrote and drew to each other instead of talking. They would also mime, or speak with the body.

For December's event at Limehouse Town Hall, James will bring a fascinating set of ambients for dream or dance.

Championing a new wave of emerging talent, Reflections presents the seventh instalment of their various artist EP series on the label.

Egyptian-born producer and environmental scientist, Nourey makes her debut on the label with a stunning neo-classical composition ’To Where Dreams Are’, which features a lullaby of mellow horns, piano and enchanting strings. Followed up by Glaswegian composer-producer Turtle, and his dreamy production ‘Falls Of Avich’ that intertwines ambient synths and gentle piano motifs.

Balearic legend Steve Miller aka Afterlife, presents the third track on the EP. Known for his iconic chill out sets in Ibiza since the early 90s, Miller has been a prominent figure in the electronic music scene, contributing to numerous Café Del Mar compilations as well as a sought after remixer working with the likes of Sinead O’Connor, Roger Sanchez and Lana Del Rey. Here he delivers a fine tuned atmospheric, meditative composition ‘Wide Awake’. 

Next up on the EP is a debut from Scottish producer and composer Faodail, meaning ‘a lucky find’ in Gaelic, who weaves soft percussive elements with melodic synths on his new track ‘Entangled’. Closing the project is Tokyo-based sound artist Yui Onodera with ‘IZUMO', a soothing composition of electro-acoustic elements and field recordings that create a delicate soundscape.

Ether, in the literary sense, can be defined as 'the clear sky; the upper regions of air beyond the clouds.', or more informally as 'air regarded as a medium for radio'. Music, as well as the inspiration for it, are ephemeral in nature. In making this album, I often thought about the manner in which the sounds and patterns that form a piece of music are brought in to existence from nothingness. They drift into the listener's space, evolve over time, and drift off like clouds on the wind.

"Ewiger Wald" is an auditory journey through a spectrum of emotions, from the profound depths to the luminously friendly, encapsulating a wide range of modern ambient music. Tilwin (meaning 'colouring' in Maltese, Robert's native tongue) started being written during the summer of 2023 and was concluded on the last day of that year. The album reflects some major life events Robert encountered throughout that same year. Tilwin is an attempt at embracing a period of lows and highs, an effort of encapsulating these experiences within recordings. Each event described here is coloured in Robert's mind by a 'hue', that was then reflected in each track forming the album. Tilwin depicts events as varied as a tragic incident endured by a loved one and their period of convalescence, as can be heard on the song 'Long Wait', to the birth of a new family member on the Christmas day, as can be heard on the song 'Post Christmas'. Hence the album name: Tilwin.

Its title pays homage to the renowned novel by Kurt Vonnegut, inviting listeners on a journey filled with guitar tapestries and space oddities. Enrico Coniglio's personal approach to ambient music promises to transport audiences to uncharted realms of delicate emotions. In "The Sirens of Titan," Coniglio masterfully crafts yet another captivating installment on his musical path, delving deeper into the evocative world of melancholic soundscapes and expanding the horizons of his sonic exploration. 

The limited physical edition is presented as a 6-panel digisleeve with 8 prints on tracing paper, featuring original drawings by Alina Lutaeva (alinalutaeva.art), based on scenes from the novel and created specifically for this release. The digisleeve is packed in a black cardboard slipcase, hand-stamped, and hand-numbered.
