This talented producer first had releases on Nulabel, Deadcert, Plunk Recordings, and more recent and forthcoming releases on Decoy,7teen Recordings, Concepto Hipnotic, Electrax, DMT recordings, Toxic Recordings, Berlin Underground.

Besides all of this, at this moment he has found a home at Wall Music. Where beloved guest at walls-events and at the moment working on bringing to life a sublabel of Wall Music, a new platform on which to showcase his own interpretation of the techno. So be on the look-out for that.

2017 will bring plenty of new material and collaborations with Mike Wall, MZR, Samuel L.Session and long time friends Vidrik and Eduard Szilagyi (Aka Yute).

For the Drone Podcast, he granted us a hybrid live/set, mainly with his own work completed with a few tracks by Wall Music Artists and Close friends. With most being an exclusive premiere.

Operator is the alias of UK Techno artist Rich Jones, who has appeared on Soma, CLR, Kanzleramt, Audio Assault and Singular, amongst others.

Operator was born in 2012 to allow Rich the freedom to make the purist techno he loved best - raw, hypnotic, tribal and percussive, with melodic flourishes and deep, atmospheric textures, utilising an ever evolving hybrid analog/digital setup.

Operator cuts have been enjoyed and spun regularly by many of Techno's leading lights over the years (Zenker Brothers, Shifted, James Ruskin, Zadig, Ben Klock, Rodhad, Drumcell, DVS1 etc) and Rich's artistic success has led him to play some renowned international venues (Tresor, Forsage, Cable) as well as having his music licensed to a recent Fabric Mix CD.

Alongside his near 20 year long love affair with DJing and electronic music, and extensive studio work, Rich also runs Gnosis Records (vinyl & digital), where he has released 2 successful original EP's as Operator, and a various artist EP. Gnosis Records will be returning soon with all new releases from Rich as Operator, and various other artists.

And with EP's incoming on Zadig's Construct Reform and Marcelus' Singular, an ongoing collaboration with Radial, and a remix for US based From 0-1 in the pipeline, the future is looking bright for Operator...

For our next Techno Minded Hero, we have got one of our personal favorite heroes.

We first saw him perform in 2003 at one of the infamous Traffic party`s in the Melkweg, Amsterdam with his partner in crime Rumenige. We`re blown away directly. And we weren`t the only one, Rocco from Awakenings was also a witness of the madness they brought. Put them on Awakenings festival, and from that moment till 2007, they have been frequently seen guests in the Dutch party scene!

He has been a professional DJ since 1994 holding residences at U.Club/Subclub (Bratislava/Slovakia). He started his own productions in 1996, He was mainly known for being Olga+Jozef and also standing behind PVC, Antidandruff, and Numb labels. On antidandruff, he released the mix cd: EVERGREENS AND EVERBLACKS. Which is in our opinion one of the best off-beat techno works out there, and stood trough the test time, and we definitely recommend that your search the internet for it, to have a listen. So you know what we are talking about!

On top of his own productions, he`s remixed artists Regis, Function, Oscar Mulero, Mark Broom, Radial, Takaaki Itoh, Makaton, Christian Wunsch, Anton Pieete, and Hardcell to name some.

Rumenige (Toky) and Loktibrada (Dalo) are two DJ`s known as the fathers of slovak techno. They have been playing techno together since 1996 and represent Slovakia`s most famous DJ team. From 1994 through 2003 both were resident DJ`s in Bratislava’s U Club, one of central Europe most well-known locations for high quality techno.

Loktibrada released several EP`s since 1998, most notably for Olga+Josef, Numb, PVC and Antidandruff labels. In 2000 Rumenige started his own productions, also for Numb and Antidandruff. Together they have collaborated with many diverse artists in the electronic music industry including: Regis, Female, Hardcell, Mark Broom, Christian Wunsch, Takaaki Itoh, HU, Boss, Function, Makaton and Oscar Mulero. Notable releases include the 12 - Petrzalka on the Tresor label (Tresor.204) and a mixed CD Evergreens and Everblacks on Antidandruff.

This producer and DJ has been around for a while, releasing on labels such as A.Paul's Naked Launch, Mastertraxx, Glenn Wilson's Compound, Gobsmacked, Hue Helix to name a few, and since 2010 he started his own label Local Sound Network on which he released much of his own work and music by artists like Lars Klein, Audio Injection, Excluded and other's!

Ryuji Takeuchi (Local Sound Network / LSN, HueHelix) was born in Osaka, and then first contacted with Electronic Music in the early 90s.
In the late 90s, he moved to the United States, where he discovered Techno, House and Electro Music.
As soon as he got back, he started to DJ at several locations and eventually learned to produce at the same time. After that, he released on such labels as: LK Rec, Arms, Mastertraxx, FK Rec, Innervate, Silent Steps, Brood Audio, to name but a few.
In 2011, Ryuji started his own imprint called 'Local Sound Network / LSN' as a platform for new generation of electronic sound which following words can appropriately describe: driving, hypnotic, atmospheric, emotional, groovy, funky... and any other aspects that rock from brain to the dance floor under the following statement:
From local to global...
It exists in order to inspire the world...
Also, Ryuji kicked off another brand new label called 'HueHelix / HHX' as a new platform, which discloses something new, only represented by HueHelix, together with Go Hiyama, Tomohiko Sagae and Kazuya Kawakami, in order to push quality music with global standard from where sun rises.
In 2012, Ryuji launched 'Local Sound Network Digital Solutions / LSNDS' series in need of discovering and introducing wider range of electronic music, aiming at dropping unique audio output while it’s hot. ArchivOne or Cristiano De Luca was born in 1995 in Naples. DJ, producer and remixer. Begins to approach the music at age 8, he started playing drums, guitar and piano. Since then, his life has revolved around its ultimate goal: demonstration of his musical vision in the form of DJ Set as well as his productions. ArchivOne is a musically versatile artist who likes to get lost in the sound worlds, taking all kinds of influences from different genres and incorporates them into his productions. Despite this, his heart beats fast for Techno, is the heartbeat of his city that inspired him so generously. In 2015 he founded together with his friend his first Label : Off the White Records, with its first two releases was a great success. In 2017 He decides to open his personal label, "Archives 01", a predominantly industrial label, where he currently finds great feeds from great musicians in the music industry in question.

Influenced by the sound of Berlin, charged off
textures, strong basslines, hypnotic synths and experimental environments, he began to publish his own material on renowned labels like Pfirter's MindTripRec, Planet Rhythm, Pole Group, and many more.

This Year he has begun a project with Miki Craven and Mental Resonance which is called Dead Rose Records, a platform dedicated to releasing music in all its nuances and has got his first European bookings at two of most prominent spots out there: Arena Club, Berlin at Oecus and Esch events and MOOG club, Barcelona. On Oecus he performed on stage with names like Lewis Fautzi (Polegroup) and Lawrence Kurt one of the names behind the ongoing Oecus events in Berlin these days. We predict that this strong debuut in Europe will develop into a lot more bookings for the future.

Biography
Anthony Jimenez got his start as a DJ back in 2003, gaining experience playing records spanning several genres before finding his niche in techno. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, the DJ and producer was drawn to the dark and cavernous sound of techno when he moved to Detroit, going on to become a mainstay at Blank Code’s Scene parties.

Time Under Tension, his 2014 debut EP released on Blank Code, made waves in the international techno scene, receiving support and plays by the likes of Sam Paganini, Annie Hall, Brendon Moeller, Exium, DJ Hyperactive, Krenzlin, Pfirter, Rebekah and more.

A tastemaker in his own right, Anthony’s own productions are a mirror representation of the hard word and tenacity he adopts in every studio session and DJ set. Driven by the raw and primal nature of techno, his DJ arrangements and original productions are characterized by broody and deep musical explorations peppered with hypnotic and rhythmic sonic experiences. His signature sound has made him a local favorite in a city that not only gave birth to techno but continues to push the envelope for the genre’s future progress with a selection of top-tier talent in both the producer and DJ categories.

His skills have not gone unnoticed, landing Jimenez coveted spots alongside some of the techno’s greatest names in the international touring circuit including Function, Matrixxman, Edit Select, Monoloc, Silent Servant, Dasha Rush, Regis. Perc, Adam X, Headless Horseman and Dustin Zahn just to name a few. In 2015 came what some describe as the coronation gig for any techno DJ in Detroit - a booking at Movement Electronic Music Festival among the world’s techno elite.
2017 will see Anthony release a new EP with Blank Code, as he continues to push the envelope as a producer and DJ in both the Detroit and United States’ techno scene.

It's been a while since you have heard from the Drone Podcast Show, our apologies! Sadly it took us a while to get everything back on track again. And so we are very pleased to go full throttle and present a long list of Techno Minded Heroes from all over the globe that will bring the greatest livesets and mixes for 2018 and so on!

First up for our next Techno Minded Hero, we are staying closer to home. He has been on our radar for a few years, ever since we heard some of his mixes online. And we caught this Techno lover in all its facets performing live on Day-On festival, this summer, where he delivered a massive set! As faith would have it, we connected with him on this year's ADE.

His techno style is one with a Dark and Obscure sound but always with an energetic drive.

Appaa is a Dutch techno performer and lover of all things dark. His style is obscure, raw and indisputably industrial. He began channelling his talent on an old pair of mk3 CDJs in the early naughties and was thrust into the limelight in 2014, when he became champion of ‘Underground Hidden Talent’ at club Poema in Utrecht.

Since then he has performed in various Dutch clubs and recently also on Australia’s East Coast, where he performed in Melbourne’s legendary nightclub, Bunker. You can catch his podcasts on XT3 Radio, Strobe, Voodoo, Fackeltanz, Hoppa and Jazzpod. He regularly broadcasts mixes with Almere FM and TRNSMT from the buzz of central Melbourne.

Appaa has played with some huge acts such as Afdeling Techno, Voodoo, Freeware, Day On Festival, ADE Mental Torments and he continues to wow crowds in outstanding venues. A personal highlight was cruising along the channel of Utrecht bringing in the new year at Een Zware Dobber boat party.

It's the first week of 2018 and we're happy to be back with a new episode of the Drone Podcast. And so we want to wish everybody all the best of luck and health for this upcoming year, and not to forget to thank all the artists, volunteers, and you listeners for your dedication love and support throughout these last few years!

We thank you all from the bottom of our hart!

Therefore we are happy to deliver again a new mix on the DRONE Podcast series. On this episode, we bring you back to the techno capital of the world, Berlin! This Techno Minded Hero has made a name for himself the last few years throughout his music productions and gigs. As a former drummer, he is well known for making complex drum grooves and patterns. His signature sound, heavy melodic industrialesque techno, can be found in numerous releases on labels like animal farm, Binary Cells, ARTS, Ōtomo, and on his own label LHR! BIO:
Lars was born in Berlin in 1987. His Career as a musician began very early. At 11 years young he started drumming in different bands. After a few years, he founded his own bands, playing different styles from jazz, fusion and all the way to progressive metal. His orientation on complex drum grooves makes up his foundation, while still being able to keep an open mind in regards to different styles and the ability to put them together to create a new form of art

At the age of 18, he discovered producing with different software such as FL-Studio and Cubase. Using these programs he was able to transfer his patterns and sequences from the drum set onto a drum computer. He has always had a natural yearning to tweek his recordings and productions, and shape them into unrecognisable elements of sound.

However, there was always a strong connection to more heavyweight electronic music. He discovered how great it is to listen and produce techno that basically wants to devour you from the inside out, vibrating your body with massive bass and some nasty hypnotic tribal rhythms.

In January 2015 he founded his own label, LHR, with the focus on deeply rooted warehouse techno. Lars Huismann Records is a journey in heavy melodic industrialesque techno music, built in an atmospheric and pulsating frame. LHR001 started with a full-length EP and release party in Tresor Berlin. Four beautifully cut tracks that take you on a journey through different areas of techno. It is an obsession with hard drilling percussion, banging synth-elements, and drums that roll together to create a more complex groove-pattern.

His second release on LHR is even more powerful. Hard stomping noisy big room kicks with very individual signature sounds. Perfect for the discerning techno crowd. Metallic synth melodies and hypnotic vocal sampling which drill the inside of your ear and a controlled bass that perpetually drives the track forward. This excursion has deadly effectiveness. Heavy pounding no mercy primetime techno that pushes you to the edge and throws you into the abyss.

We are back with the 97th edition of the Drone Podcast, and for this edition were going to São Paulo, Brazil!

These Techno Minded Hero’s and brothers, Rafael Lopez (ex-Los 3 Brasileros) and Phabian Edward have been around for a while. Getting their first local gig at the age of 12 and 14 in 1996.

In 2008 Phabian started Válvula Records, to innovate the electronic music market with new artists of the Brazilian scene in the pursuit of underground Techno.

Since 2013 they operate as a new project, where they cluster all their knowledge of techno, house, and Detroit called Afrozoid. In 2015 they made their European debut with a bang by beginning in one of the holy grails of techno, Tresor Berlin! Ever since that they been regularly crossing over for gig’s in Stockholm, Birmingham, Berlin, Malmo, Amsterdam and more!

We are very happy to welcome Rafael Lopez and Phabian Edward as Afrozoid on the Drone Podcast No.097!

Biography
Afrozoid was formed by the brothers Rafael Lopez (ex-Los 3 brasileros) and Phabian Edward in 2013, rescuing old influences of House and Techno of the 90’s. The main idea of the project is to bring all the knowledge that both of them had in the past as DJs, when they played at underground parties in the 90’s. The essence of their productions brings influences from the past to the new era of House and Techno. Afrozoid comes with a combination of Groove, Dark and Detroit. Their productions are mirrored after such artists as, Jeff Mills, Carl Craig, Dave Angel, The Advent, Joe Beltram, Green Velvet, Underworld, Secret Cinema, Mau Mau, Habitants, Carl Cox, Surgeon, Cassius, Prodigy, ALTERN8, 808 State, LFO, Dave Clarke, Thomas P. Another week, another podcast! This time we stay in the Netherlands and travel up to the north, Friesland. Here we have found an artist that does not limit himself to one specific style of techno. 

When playing a set he builds upon his drive and sometimes adding electro and house to the mix. He always is on the lookout for special tracks that are in his opinion the gems a set can make or break. 

Next to DJing and producing music he organizes his own events, called Technostate, in collaboration with Bass Collectors. Their events have been held in warehouses, clubs and even a stage hosting on the yearly held Play! Festival. Sure something to keep your eyes on!

A set performed by Kipa is energetic, open-minded and with a clear preference: underground.

When searching for sounds Kipa is always looking for the non-commercial ones that are the diamonds in the rough. Digging up those gems is fun and interesting to do. Playing them is an adventure on its own, but mixing them into something new, that’s where Kipa is at his best.

Inspired by the rich and full genre techno beholds, he never stops exploring it and even daringly crosses line by combing Electro, Techhouse and Warehouse tunes.

Together with some great roots like the 303 and 808/909, Kipa takes his audience on a journey they’ll remember.

When performing, the audience is key! Seeing them enjoy themselves to the fullest is what drives Kipa into giving his all. Looking up the depth of this incredible musicstream, his sound can be discribed as energetic, with deep sapcy soundscapes androcking beats.

Kipa is tremendously fond of building up an intensive set to trigger the audience with full-on Techno, not letting anybody escape from the high driven sound he creates.

Demo’s, mixing and producing is what makes Kipa a creative DJ/Producer with his own recognizable sound.

An Acid, oldscool feel with splendid soundscapes are the key components of Kipa’s mixes combined with a never-ending love for a deep, juicy, rolling basses.

Welcome to the Drone Podcast. It’s been a while since we had this Techno Minded Hero on the show. He had a really strong set for the Drone Podcast No.044. We are more than happy to welcome him back again, and this time he teamed up with another great hero.

Buenos Aires, Argentina. Homebase of these guys, but there are a few labels on which they feel home as well like: Knotweed Records, Reaktive Records and Paranoid Dancer, to name a few. Biography
Dying and Barakat is the project from Rodrigo Agüero and Yibran Barakat, two youngs DJs/ Producers born in Buenos Aires - Argentina. At an early age, they began to take their first steps in musical production always influenced by the Detroit and Chicago sounds with a different perspective and sound experiments creating a refined underground beats. Them productions explore the branches of deep, dub, ambient and techno exclusively. From 2012 they began to edit them collaborations and releases on vinyl format on records labels as Knotweed Records (France), CLFT (France), Fanzine Records (Spain), Paranoid Dancer (Germany), Reaktivate Records (Portugal), Hypnotic Room (Australia), Tono Limited (Colombia) and PAR Recordings (Uruguay). They are currently working on their next two vinyl releases ’El Sueño de una Teoria EP’ (Knotweed Records, France) and ’Exploracion Desconocida EP’ (Axaminer Records, Czech Republic) that will be able to hear in the next months and in their project in LIVE format to present on their first Europe tour.

Biography

One of the leading names in Paris’ contemporary scene, Zadig is one of the main forces responsible for the return of the City of Light to worldwide prominence as a centre for forward-looking techno. A participant in the’90s French rave scene in the hardcore and acid days, Sylvain Peltier found his true inspiration with the arrival of Mills, Surgeon, and Beltram and labels like Tresor, Lost, and Synewave and the techno that his style remains rooted in to this day. After moving to Paris in the mid-2000s, Zadig became quickly involved in the beginnings of what would become the present-day Parisian upswing, making an early release in 2006 as Day is Dying on the Rouen-based Euro Visions label. In 2009 he returned, this time as Zadig and this time to stay, quickly forging a relationship with the important Syncrophone label and distributor in Paris.

There has not been any looking back since, and as Paris’ techno scene continues to rise from the ashes of the early 2000s to the vibrant, world-recognized heights it now occupies, Zadig has made essential contributions to this ascendancy. Starting in 2011, he launched his Construct Re-Form label, which has gone on to a residency at the legendary Rex Club and continues to debut and support bracing new French talent like Antigone, Voiski, Birth of Frequency, and Zadig himself. His own discography also continues to grow, with releases on the reknown Deeply Rooted House in 2013, the New York-based Chronicle, Children of Tomorrow, and continued support from Syncrophone, as well as compilation appearances on Tresor, Reclaim Your City, and Studio R. As Zadig’s reputation as a leader in the French scene has spread, he has gone on to play numerous dates around Europe, with appearances in Berghain and a deepening relationship with Tresor, at both Concrete and the Weather festival in Paris, and worldwide in New York and Argentina, alongside scene-leading contemporary talent and legends like Scion, Rodhad, Peter van Hoesen, DVS1, Inigo Kennedy, Samuli Kemppi, Jonas Kopp, Johannes Volk, Shifted, Lucy, and many more. 2015 saw the debut of his Unforeseen Alliance live collaborative project with label mates Voiski, Antigone, and Birth of Frequency, all of whom have moved on to increasing success as both Zadig and Construct Re-Form have gained recognition.

With Paris’ resurgent club scene blossoming to worldwide attention not seen since the ’90s, it is the dedicated efforts of those like Sylvain Peltier who have helped to bring about this revival and continue to lead it to new heights. As Zadig, as a label head, as a DJ, and as a central fgure in its continued growth, he is an essential fgure in its present and a leading light for its future.
