Welcome to the world of Drone, a London-based label founded by producer, artist and Death In Vegas guiding light Richard Fearless. An outlet for dancefloor distortion and other musical explorations. Created in the Metal Box, Drone will release oscillations in many forms. 

For this, the debut outing Richard Fearless lays the mandate in the form of Higher Electronic States - proto-techno, peaktime acid. Analogue electronics, hammer-horror strings underpinned with drums to blow apart any floor. This is music made for very dark, smoke filled rooms with absurd lazers.

Crème Organization & M>O>S Recordings mainstay D’Marc Cantu picks up remixes duties on the flip toning things down in tempo but certainly not tension. This is deep, brooding, suspense filled slow-motion techno creating a wholly satisfying first taste of the meal that is Drone.

Earlier this summer Drone laid down its debut mandate in the form of Fearless' own Higher Electronic States, which picked up plaudits from corners far and wide.
 
Discussing the second single Richard says "With Higher Electronic States I wanted to make a record to end my sets with, Gamma Ray is something much deeper. I wanted to create a timeless stark, minimal, desolate landscape of a track."
 
And he's done just that, creating one of those rare things in electronic music, a song with longevity. A piece of finely crafted techno of the highest order; 
 
"I obsessed over Gamma Ray. spending a week on the drum sound alone". 
 
To make matters all the more enticing he's enlisted the supreme talent that is Legowelt to rework the track. Stripping it back further to its core elements this is pure heads music from Danny Wolfers, another extreme audiophile. The depth, texture and atmosphere he injects into the track completes what is an exceptional and significant second release from Drone.  
 
"I feel like I've made the record that is true to this vision." We wouldn't disagree.
 
Having recently taken in part in an RBMA lecture in their Russian headquarters and an appearance at the hallowed turf of Golden Pudel planned for later in the year, the world of Richard Fearless and Drone is in its ascendancy.

Drone is very proud to announce its fourth release, this time from rhythm originator and founder of Factory Floor Gabe Gurnsey, who bangs out his debut solo single 'Falling Phase'. This track is an eight minute aural patrol of sheer analogue pulse and rhythm, flooded with Gurnsey's drum computer bank, Nik Void's ethereal vocal splices, and a electrifying bass line. 

Gurnsey explores "humanizing machines and electronics" within his very own contorted dance template, taking the dance floor out of its four walls and reinstalling it somewhere along the pacific coast highway. This record travels.

Prolific producer based in Ann Arbor, D’Marc Cantu, debuted on Drone in 2015. His forthcoming release 'Omega Red' is an introspective, emotive piece of electro in which he explores melancholic synth melodies that are quintessential to the Drone sound.
