The titles of all the tracks are Japanese words that are close to the meaning of obscurity.

When we do not define the attributes of an object and see it as it is, there is something that comes into view for the first time.

Low Motion. Originally titled “Slow motion” until I realized there are thousands of songs titled “Slow Motion”. I dropped the “S”. This is “Low Motion”.

Static Lullaby. Probably not really a Lullaby per se, and maybe not ambient. You can decide.

Losing Yourself in the Answer. Perfect.

Go Home. I really am enjoying myself. I’m having a good time, but truth be told I really just want to go home.

Geraniums. I think they are one of my favorite flowers for some reason, I don’t know why.

Seventy Eights. As in 78 RPM records where it all started. There is something fascinating about taking little clips of sound and making them into something else.

Release number 007 on Macro Terra Records , presents the collaboration between Piero Degiorgio, known as Hah Nah, and Angelo Pomposo, label owner.

Titled "Vesuvian Sighs", this concept album explores the dark and evocative depths of the lands surrounding Mount Vesuvius. Like a journey through these shrouded in mystery territories, the tracks provide a sonic experience that captures the enigmatic and contradictory atmosphere of the area.

Using binary codings and digital cartographies, Hah Nah creates numerical patterns that transform into generative textures and soundscapes, shaping fluid, suspended sonic landscapes. The album unfolds as an emotional and imaginative narrative, exploring the dualities and latent tensions between the grandeur of Vesuvius, the serenity of coastal villages, and the stories buried under millennia-old ashes.

"Vesuvian Sighs" invites the listener to engage with the many facets of one of the world's most fascinating and paradoxical environments, offering a rich, immersive, and complex musical experience

The original tracks were entirely composed and recorded by Hah Nah during his stay in these lands.

Pomposo then collected and reinterpreted the sonic information from the original tracks (Freefall Reverie, Burning Souls Collides, and Volcano Deep Dive), creating three remixes that explore various forms of electronic music—blending elements from Electro and Techno, using loops and samples derived from hardware gears and modular synthesis.

The third and final chapter in a three-part EP series from Field Records comes from Michel Isorinne, who has released a number of tapes under various lies in recent times. Little else is known about the man but for the fact that he makes earthly, organic ambient that is filled with found sounds and subtle progression.

The first track ‘Blurred Perceptions of Substance’ proves exactly that, with its tweeting bird calls, horizontal church bells and the distant and gentle patter of rain all soothing the brain. The thoroughly absorbing mood continues through all six tracks, which range from downbeat and sombre to more cautiously optimistic.

The sounds of crinkled paper, big organs, heavenly chords, gently tumbling, slo motion drums and lots more besides all colour these tracks to perfection. To put them on and tune in to them is to forget about the outside world and get lost in emotive soundtracks that transport you to another place entirely.

DRONE RECORDS is a label-project and mailorder-service for mainly atmospheric & experimental music, based in Bremen, Germany.

DRONE RECORDS as a (vinyl-only) LABEL started in 1993 with a very idealistic, uncommercial attitude & philosophy, influenced by the independent cassette-culture scene from the 80’s.

The 7"-label series was active from 1993 to 2010 with 100 released "drones" (7" EPs), presenting mainly newcomers from the international experimental "drone"-scene.

In the meantime, late 2005 a second series / sub-label has started, this time on 10"-vinyls, named SUBSTANTIA INNOMINATA. This series with a special concept embracing the "Unknown" could be seen as an interface between experimental music & cultural science, psychoanalysis and philosophy.
