A hard rockin’, Delta blues inspired singer/songwriter, Droo delivers an extra edge to the traditional blues by combining his background in rock, funk, metal and pop.  His heart is rock and roll, while his soul screams the blues.  Together he brings a deep connection to his latest album, “Mississippi Bound”.  Droo describes the album as, “music to feed your soul.” 

Originally from Maryland and Virginia, Droo’s love for music began as a kid, listening to his father play bluegrass jams late at night.  Unable to sleep, he began to feel the music and picked up an old hand-me-down guitar.  A few years later Droo started the band Navel, in which he was the singer and bassist, with his brother Wally. Droo became well known for his bass playing in Virginia. He played hard and fast, and soon found himself on a road trip to Los Angeles playing bass for several bands, recording and performing at every notable venue in the city.  Droo needed more though, more of a creative outlet.  He walked by a pawn shop that had a beat up old resonator hanging in the window.  With the few dollars he had left from his move out to Los Angeles, he bought the guitar and began writing songs.  With a slide in one hand and an open tuned guitar in the other, he played the blues and went back to his roots. 
  
“Mississippi Bound” was written, performed and produced by Droo.  His sweat was poured into this album and you can feel each word that is sung.  It is raw, it is real, it evokes  his struggles, his journey, his love and heartbreak.

What you'll hear is the urgent, searing vocals and slashing slide guitar of Hunter Wolfe and the thundering drums of his sister, ARE. That's it, but that's plenty.
 
Their sound is rooted in Delta blues and infused with a passion that's impossible to ignore. Whether dredging from deep wells of loneliness on "Your Death (Is Killing Me)" or burning in the dark heat of love on "Hypnotize Me," the music of Born Crooked cannot be denied.
 
Much of this intensity stems from their love for their brother Christian, who passed away in 2013 after a lifelong battle with scoliosis, epilepsy and other painful physical disabilities. “When we’re in the green room or on the side of the stage, getting ready to walk on, we always think of him,” Hunter says. “What we do is as much for him as it is for us.”

Add to this their sibling synchronicity, their ability to feed on and amplify each other’s intensity. They’ve felt this connection even as they began playing together as kids in Charlottesville, Virginia. “ARE brings something out of me that no other musician I’ve ever played with has,” he insists. “Something totally different comes out of me -- and it’s the same with her.”

Their individual gifts as songwriters, instrumentalists and performers complete the picture. ARE’s slamming attack and no-nonsense drive provide the perfect foundation for Hunter, whose artistry earned him honors as the 2008 National Slide Guitar Championship, two stints on the International Blues Challenge Showcase and recognition as a Blues Foundation Generation Blues scholar.
 
Other players do sit in with them on occasion, both in the studio and on stage. But from the moment they played their first local gigs through appearances abroad and looking ahead to their June 2015 European tour, Born Crooked is about their bond with each other and, always, with Christian.
 
They continue to honor him through charity performances at rehabilitation centers, hospitals and, Hunter notes, “anyplace where people can’t get out and hear music. We take it to them because we saw the healing effect that music had on Christian. We want to connect with everyone we can.”
 
And that includes their ever-widening fan base. “It’s very important for us to give audiences something positive that they’ll remember forever, something that they can look back and say, ‘That was a great night.’”

Clay Snyder is a Singer/Songwriter and Recording Artist. Mainland born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, clay was island raised in Honolulu, Hawaii by his mother following the untimely death of his father, there he would grow up. It was in Hawaii where Clay began to truly hone his craft as a singer, guitarist, drummer, and writer. Embarking on his personal healing process, he developed melodic melodies and rich vocals which have set him apart; coupled with his unique timing and rhythms, he has developed a truly unique musical style that enables Clay to “Spread the Aloha lifestyle, the positive vibes that heal.” While his debut album, Your Own Path, had gained Clay an international following, and is available on iTunes, Amazon and ReverbNation. Clay is currently in the studio recording a new album that will be hitting shelves in 2016. He loves music with every part of his being and will continue to share his story with the world. Clay is moving to Seattle, Washington in Aug 2016. 

Ian LeCheminant is a composer from Culver City, CA. His interest in film scoring was sparked in high school through his participation in Culver City High Schools Academy of Visual and Performing Arts. Through this program he met his mentor, Chris Thomas (A Whisper to a Roar, Women Rebel and Music For Haunts),and spent the second half of his high school career working nonstop to develop his composition and production techniques for film scoring. Ian also studied video game scoring under the direction of Gerard Marino (God of War franchise). Ian has had the privilege of writing music for over 30 media related projects, ranging from indie short films like Tengu, Invasion Of Privacy,  No Way Out to commercial promotions for companies such as EXPAND 3D, scoring his first full length feature film, Jezebeth 2: Hour Of The Gun. He also maintains ongoing relationships with YouTube channels Murphy’s Law and Planet Froth. Ian is currently composing music for various library houses.

Seventrain features former 24-7 Spyz (Atlantic Records) drummer Joel Maitoza, former Cage (Massacre Records) guitarist Eric Horton, guitarist Jef Poremba who previously played with Kofi Baker/6ONE9, former Tourniquet bassist Steve Dino Andino and vocalist Jon Campos previously of Dive Bomber.

This blues-based hard rock/metal act hailing from San Diego, California delivers raw, stripped down, in your face rock displaying powerful vocals and soulful harmonies backed by a hard-hitting rhythm section. Influences include Badlands, Audioslave and arena rock bands from the 70s and 80s with a modern, current twist. The bands debut 11 song CD was recorded by engineer Don Lithgow (Blink 182, Finch, New Found Glory) at DML Studios, produced by drummer Joel Maitoza and lovingly tracked in analog on 2 inch tape. Featured tracks include Change and Rays of the Sun as well as the melodic rockers How Does It Feel and Pain which showcase the bands songwriting skills and have been hailed as favorites by critics and mainstream/online radio.

 The bands self-titled debut album was released on February 14th, 2014 in the US, Europe and Japan on the bands own label imprint (So. Cal Records) distributed by Alliance Entertainment and is currently available on iTunes, Amazon and CD Baby. The album charted on the CMJ Loud Rock Top 40 at #36 it's first week to radio on February 25th, 2014 and has been receiving favorable reviews by critics worldwide in print and online media. Since the albums release, Seventrain has been direct support on select dates with Pat Travers, Michael Schenker, Skid Row, Black Star Riders, Saving Abel, Red Dragon Cartel and Puddle of Mudd in addition to headlining many local venues in Southern California themselves. The debut video for their single Bittersweet Seduction was released on May 15th, 2014 and is gaining momentum on various online media outlets. Their second video for their latest single Broken was recently released on December 24th, 2014. Seventrain was also nominated for Best Hard Rock Album of the Year at the 2014 San Diego Music Awards. Seventrain is currently in the studio working on their next album set for release in the fall of 2015.







Ipecac Recordings is the brainchild of Greg Werckman (former label manager for the legendary punk label, Alternative Tentacles, employee for Mercury Records for a record 15 minutes, currently operating Pick-A-Winner Management) and Mike Patton (former frontman for Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, currently of Fantômas, Tomahawk, Peeping Tom).

Werckman and Patton had been scheming for years (in between video games) about starting their very own label, waiting for just the right moment to unleash their master plan. Ipecac Recordings is not about to make music biz history and execute a revolution (although one is surely needed) or bore you by waxing poetic about their original musical philosophies. But if we have to adhere to a "mission statement," how about the notion of being an honest, artist friendly label run on a shoe string with no outrageous promotional or production costs. This label is a home to Mike Patton's eclectic musical collaborations as well as a place where bands we admire have the freedom to release music they might not be able to, or want to, release on other labels.
