We used to chase what we couldn’t define,
talk too loud just to kill the time.
Every plan was a paper crown,
built it up just to watch it drown.
Now I see the cracks were maps,
leading me back through the aftermath.
I’m not lost — I’m redesigned,
a little older, but aligned.

still awake beneath the signs.

it’s the only way I’ve learned to sing.
