Dropjaw Audio, Est. 2015

Dropjaw Audio is a soundsystem collective, formed in Darwen in 2015. The formation was inspired by the old Acid House parties in the late 80s throughout the Blackburn area, with the unreleased film 'High on Hope' being the trigger for our own parties.

It was 2013 when we first managed to source enough pocket money to acquire some noddy computer speakers and a knackered generator, with the first party being a complete failure after the cord on the generator completely snapped before anyone had even turned up.

From failure came success, as the years proceeding have seen Dropjaw throw some of the biggest and best parties in the whole of Northern England, even catching the eye of Adidas Spezial, which lead to Dropjaw featuring in their winter '18 clothing line video. The word of the Dropjaw parties even captured the attention of Metalheadz bossman Goldie, who even came and up to the woods in August '18 and played, completely free.

Today Dropjaw is doing a combination of parties and club nights, being the regular soundsystem at Manchester's Hit & Run night. We have come far in the few years that we have been about, and are forever excited about the future.

Rapture Recordings is a digital underground music label based in the south of the UK. Starting their journey in 2014 their target audience was the UK Free Party scene, however the label has gained momentum in recent years with signings from Australia, USA & Venezuela, releasing a variety of sub-genres under the Hard Dance spectrum.

From the UK Multi genre  DJ/Producer & Record label owner by the name D.N.HAY.
started music journey in the summer of 2012 at just 16 years old Haydn grew his skill set on the decks 
incredibly quickly by Studying DJ's playing and learning their tricks and tips.
He was also lucky enough to play at a couple of under 18 nights which got my name out into the music DJ seen.
 
By the time he was 17 I was lucky enough to of got himself recognised playing a mixture of Drum & Bass, Minimal Techno & Progressive Trance at underground rave parties (Free Parties) fast forward a year to 18 that is when Haydn discovered his love and passion for Hard Trance.
That is when he began to start learning to produce with a mentor showing him the ropes. During 
that time he began to make his mark in the festival scene playing at the likes of No Mans Land, 
Symmerty Festival & Illusive Festival.  
A year down the line he then decide to start a record label to help himself and other like minded 
people to get their music out to the public called Free The Mind Recordings. During that year he also 
managed to get his debut track "Living Beings" to hit Number 1 in the Hard Trance charts.
While busy around the UK he ticked one of his dreams of and has played a hand full of times across 
Europe, playing in both Spain & France twice and also at BoomTown Festival in England.  Since then, Haydn has be dominating clubs and festivals all over the country week in, week out with his unique mixing style and sounds becoming a regular act at club nights & festivals such as Illusive , Tearout  and many more.
 in 2019 Haydn graduated at Lisa Lashes School Of Music gaining more 
knowledge from some of the very best experienced and established artists in the Hard House/Trance & HardStyle industry such as 
BK, Rob Tissera, Joey Riot and many more.

Vispera has been performing words since her mid teens. Hailing from Manchester, she developed her voice through spoken word, slam poetry and creative writing. The last year has seen her emerge into the Drum and Bass scene and narrate the rave space with her visceral, poetic MCing style. 

Performing regularly up and down the country, Vispera is making a name for self as a talented and respected MC, hosting sets across the spectrum of bass genres, resident for Phase Records DNB, Sisterhood Birmingham and Off The Record 0161. Additionally, Vispera is also set to emerge as a distinct and versatile recording artist, with upcoming releases on Trust Audio and Phase Records DNB, plus her debut EP dropping Autumn 2024 on Dropjaw Audio.
