This is a rare and insightful glimpse into the roots of the modern psychedelic trance sound—a genre born from the convergence of global influences and personal awakenings. From the serene shores of Goa emerged a new musical wave, one that transformed not only the sonic landscape but also gave rise to an entire culture. Through the nomadic lifestyle of those early freaks, this culture carried its influence far beyond the beaches of India, leaving sonic fingerprints on the electronic scenes of Ibiza, England, and beyond. The global movement we now associate with electronic music owes much to these barefoot innovators and their magnetic gatherings under open skies.

Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, beauty and innovation emerged from the disillusionment of European producers, who traded their darker, heavier tones for something more vibrant, hypnotic, and alive.

Driven by deep, repetitive rhythms and hypnotic bass lines, this soundscape turned Goa’s beaches and jungles into playgrounds of fluorescence and ecstatic dance. Of course, the journey wasn’t without its challenges—not every traveler on these shores welcomed the music with open arms. In fact, some early DJs even had to hire bodyguards to protect themselves from occasional hostility.

Yet, the music endured. It evolved. And it continues to do so—ever-shifting, expanding, spiraling outward like the great cosmic dance of creation and dissolution.

For over two decades, the artist embodied "Olowanpi" as the main extension of his creative spirit. Yet, he recognized that this chapter had reached its natural conclusion – the energetic resonance of this persona having completed its symphony.
He courageously embraces the call for renewal in the grand theater of artistic expression, where personas serve as the masks through which we channel our creativity. 
Like a phoenix ascending from the transformative flames, he resiliently steps forward into uncharted territories, driven by an unwavering desire to explore new dimensions of artistic expression.

For now, he is using his nickname as his moniker, eagerly awaiting the inspiration for a new persona, or he may keep this one for some time. Who knows? Everything is possible. <3

Biography Dj Larsik: 

A trailblazer going back to the early days, his journey began as a DJ in local discos at the end of the '80s, where he immersed himself in the burgeoning sounds of Acid House and Techno Music. Those formative years, steeped in the raw energy of electronic music's revolution laid the foundation for a career spanning decades and continents.

His sonic journey traverses the globe like a melodic cartographer painting rhythmic stories across continents. From the pulsing hearts of Berlin and Ibiza’s techno temples to the bohemian streets of San Francisco and through the cultural tapestry of the underground scene in Switzerland, his beats have woven themselves into the fabric of iconic events and celebrations, infusing them with vibrant energy. His artistry found resonance in intimate gatherings and transformative festivals – from the mystical grounds of Portugal's Boom Festival, the magical beaches of the Full Moon Festival in Thailand, to the celestial convergence at Mexico's Total Eclipse gathering.

Each performance has been a brushstroke in his evolution carefully engineered through years of devotion to his craft. His music flows like water, adapting to the spirit of each unique setting: from the whispers of waves on sun-kissed beaches to the ethereal echoes bouncing off mountain peaks, from the organic rhythms of verdant forests to the timeless energy of ancient ruins and the regal acoustics of medieval castles.

In the urban landscape, his artistry bridges the gap between nature and civilization, breathing life into prestigious clubs and igniting the spirit of street festivals.
