The lead track “Milla Ella” is a refreshing lively body mover with a punk attitude. Elements of grunge and haunting guitar trills combine with tight percussion, layered vocal chants and swelling noise into a peaking crescendo that keeps you high throughout.

Next up, “Just Like A Shadow” is reminiscent of dusty desert plains. Evolving and evocative sounds, touches of hang drum, and an otherworldly vocal story take you to another plane, if only for 7 minutes.

We are excited to welcome Apnoea back to mobilee on remix duties, after their debut EP “Why We Breathe” earlier this year. They transform “Just Like A Shadow” into a dark and twisting route through the deeper side of melodic techno, a unique spin, laying the foundations for many a discerning dance floor moment in clubs this summer.

After a handful of fine releases on Crosstown Rebels Gruuv, and
MadTech, Yoshitoshi is excited to welcome the UK’s Made By Pete to the
label with his fantastic Aikido EP, which brings together heavy tribal
grooves, climactic melodies, and brilliant arrangements to create an
exciting mix of afro-tinged house that wouldn’t sound out of place at
Burning Man. The title track’s conga-driven groove gives way to an
enormous build that is devastating in the club; it’s a textbook floor-filler.
Rising star Enamour is on remix duty for this one, giving us a deep,
trippy mix perfect for the afterhours crowd. The Greencoat Row
continues the formula of Aikido with its layered percussion, spicing things
up with a dramatic melody that creates a spacious and ethereal
atmosphere. The EP is a consistent, thoughtful and breathtaking Yoshi
debut from Made By Pete.
