Nullptr / Bovaflux(Eddie Symons) is an Electronic producer based in Cambridge, UK. Since his 2016 debut on Detroit Underground he has been producing modular-fuelled intergalactic Electro described as "audibly more far-sighted and otherworldly than his peers" (juno.co.uk).

Eddie's background lies in early 2000s IDM, where he originally released under the Bovaflux alias with Highpoint Lowlife Records. Those influences still continue to echo through his Nullptr material, blending into the post-Drexciyan landscape of the modern Electro scene, as heard on his ever-expanding catalogue of releases on highly respected labels such as Central Processing Unit, Klakson, SolarOneMusic and Fanzine.

Stepping out of the studio for both DJ and hybrid live sets, Nullptr has played on line ups alongside the likes of The Advent, Annie Hall, 96 Back, Plant43 and Versalife.

For episode thirty I thought I'd change things up a bit. So far the mix series has been focusing on showcasing DJ's that I enjoy what they are doing at a local level here in Australia along with further abroad too. This is the first mix in the series that I have put together myself the recording from a recent visit to Brisbane Meanjin via a live stream from @QUIVR which is a venue, education facility and livestream location all in one. We welcome @graceschella an active member of the electronic music scene in Vienna, Austria who is known for her diverse and eclectic taste behind the decks for the thirty fourth edition of the podcast series. We welcome @soundslikemiguel for the thirty fourth edition of the podcast who is a Sydney based selector and DJ via Auckland who I first met almost 10 years ago when invited to play his regular night Cantaloop at the old Cafe Lounge here in Sydney and have stayed friends ever since.
  
Miguel D is a passionate digger who embraces world sounds in the spirit of the true essence of the term who can join seemingly unrelated tracks from different eras keeping it eclectic, open and soulful.

More recently he has been a guest on Steppers Radio in the UK alongside EdSeven, contributed an excellent mix to the lazydaze mix series and dished up a cracking set at the recent Sunday edition of  Got Music Social Club: Blended here in Sydney.

Miguel D provides an expert blend of funk, soul, afrobeat, tasteful edits and latin vibes perfect for soundtracking a summery Friday afternoon before the weekend kicks in as it is in the Southern Hemisphere at the moment.

For the thirty sixth episode we invite @noisecasino to provide the soundtrack, who hails from Bogota, Columbia and currently based in Berlin. The mix is a melting pot of bass influenced breakbeats, rhythms and grooves staring at a steady 100bpm slowly working with the tempo as the mix progresses, keeping it modern and engaging which is a nice refreshing change from the more high octane sets I have come across of late. 


This was recorded at the @delphiciris Records launch party, a new label I co-own which was recorded at @kimchirecordz in Berlin.
An excellent soundtrack that paired well with the informal afternoon summer vibe of the launch and was a standout on the day (as were all of the guests). Im happy to have a chance to review the track list to dig into some of the excellent producers and labels that are new discoveries to me also.
