I bought my first guitar when I was 15 years old. During the first years I was mesmerized by songs of singer songwriters like Don McLean, Neil Diamond, John Denver and Simon & Garfunkel.

During highschool I started off in a band with schoolmates, followed by various occasional bands. I co-founded Get Lost when I was 25 and played in pubs at weddings and parties. 

As long as I can remember I played whenever and wherever I could: abroad, at holidays, in living rooms and local pubs. Whenever there was a guitar around and preferably a microphone I would jump up and do what I had to do. Many a time I wrote my own lyrics and sang a special song for relatives or friends.

I love close harmony songs and pay special attention to lyrics. Michael Buble is one of my favourites, especially for his relaxed way of singing.

I like making music with Peter Rechsteiner, especially due to our repertoire and because our music comes down to the basics: voices and guitars. Pure plain honest music.

Having followed the dnb scene for some time Phil Gonzo finally started djing in 2004 with two old turntables. 
In the beginning it was all about drum and bass but over the years collecting more and more vinyls whilst updating his dj hardware and starting to play with two Technics 1210 and cdjs, he carefully examined various electronic music gernes. 
The new setting gave Phil Gonzo creative freedom and room to experiment with 3deck ands even 4 deck mixes. 
By the year 2008 he was bored by dnb and started working with house and electro sounds in his mixing as well as production with ableton. 
In 2009 Phil Gonzo discoverd his dub-step / Trap affinity and is hooked on that sound ever since.
During the years he made sound design Jobs (3D Movies & Commercials & Audio Brands)as well as some "new" Music projects (Sushi Girl / Black Box / Memories of the Future).
In 2018 Gonzo will set his focus back to DnB and Techno.

Sushi Girl, the multi-genre music production & DJ duo was founded in 2014 in Bremen, North Germany.
These two artists standing behind this groundbreaking project have always been obsessed with music.
There has been great output of sound from the moment they started producing. The love for music finally found its outlet. After getting to know the work of a DJ/Producer plus all of the other different genres of music, experiences were made and influences had left their footprints. Sushi Girl has many musical Influences, mostly Drum and Bass, Techno, Future Garage, Electro House, Trap, Dubstep and Hip Hop, as well as many other genres of music. The consequences of their activities were local gigs and connections to other DJs & Producers alike. The love for music evolved and got even deeper after realizing the boundless possibilities that came with opportunities of producing their very own sound. At this point, both founders already had experience with producing. In 2014 they decided to combine their interests of music and production skills thus making them an unstoppable force. The result was baptized by the Name “Sushi Girl”. The fresh and juicy sound of this German Duo is constantly evolving towards the future of their creativity with production.
