As we reach the end of 2023,
Low Syndicate Audio wants to
finish off the year in style with the launch of our tenth reference.
For such a special occasion we bring something just as special. We
are pleased to present our first installement of Reworks , in which
the 6 tracks that have had the most impact during our first two
years of life have been reformulated, with those in charge of
making the remixes being the protagonists of other references of
the label released during that time period.
In this form we have Wave remixing Delah, Ciland remixing No
Human Sound, A Delah remixing Mughte, One Mindz remixing
Delah & Ciland, A Mughte remixing One Mindz, and No Human
Sound doing the same with Wave
Following the same order of releases, the first song is
Delah's Lost
Signal taken from our debut album 'Bigman EP'. Colombian Wave ,
who by the way this year has released a lavish EP through the
legendary DCSI4, has taken the original track to the first golden
years of Neurofunk, turning it into a real bomb that could well have
been released on Virus recordings between the end of the 90s and
the beginning of the millennium.

Redacted have unfolded 'Kikazaru_02', the second phase of its 3-part charity series. Kikazaru is the Japanese proverbial "hear no evil'', a mirror to many world governments, institutions and media in a time of crises.

Whilst Mizaru_01 was focused to breakbeats & donated it's revenue to the Ukraine DEC, Kikazaru_02 finds itself deeply entrenched into the field of 140, dubstep and grime. Joining this project are 6 artists who want to support the ongoing conflict in Palestine, so we're donating the revenue to support the Palestinian Children Relief Fund (PCRF). Regardless of what you feel about this war, the large-scale destruction of housing, facilities and infrastructure has left a great deal of Palestine's population in need of urgent aid. Children are the most innocent victims who are at the most risk.

1/ Sicknote “Ellie”
“Summer Vibes” “Radio friendly” are just a couple of
the quotes already thrown around when talking about
this one. A homage paid to his own daughter, Chris
wrote this in mind to reach a bigger and brighter
audience while having a legacy for his family to see
within music.
A euphoric build of synthwork and echoing modern
vocals bring this to the huge crash of a drop and into
those mellow but also tough rolling liquid vibes that
whisk your mind away to the best part of the summer.
One to sing along to and feel the emotions through the
speaker stack.

Grand Theft Audio Recordings kick off their decade anniversary celebrations, and 2024, with a bang, offering up this hard hitting dancefloor number by label head honchos Sola and featuring remixes by a mix of newer artists and seasoned pros.

Teaming up with Leo Wood, a very well known session vocalist whose delivery is nothing short of breathtaking, Sola's original version is big, bold and anthemic.

Starting with dreamy soundscapes and light arpeggiated synths over delicate piano keys, the tension builds as the emotion pours out of the vocal with goosebump-inducing cadences.

Quickly escalating across the build up, the track crescendos into dancefloor smasher territory with heavy drums, well-defined leads and cheeky choppy bass stabs, all with the dreamy vocal hook floating overhead. After another stop at Goosebump City, where the sparse breakdown gently cradles the vocal bridge
and second verse the build up gives way to the next roller coaster drop and the track plays out to the end with plenty of changes and edits to keep things fresh to the end.

The rest of the release sees a variety of talented producers reimagining the track in their own way. pyxis, Kosmic Shift and DA TU X Impression all take more subdued angles on the track but each is powerful and emotionally charged, showing how many different paths can be taken in a masterclass of mellow, vocal
driven Liquid Drum & Bass.

The first to step up to the DAW is the queen of modern Liquid, pyxis, starting with atmospheric pads and gentle piano licks, the vocal is allowed to breathe, occupying front and center as the track subtlety builds. Verse two flies proudly over the first drop in this clever rearrangement of the vocals to fit her rolling style.

As the dark reese basses pulsate and purr, the track seems to swell and expand in sync with the vocal as it grows. New melodies and countermelodies push the track in novel directions especially in the instrumental sections.

Stunning work from start to finish.

Hailing from the rapidly expanding DnB frontier lands of the United States, Floridians DA TU & Impression start their reworking off with bright pads, lightly discordant midrange FX and intricate percussion before the vocal bubbles to the surface. A filtered drum break gives way to the drop which consists of clean kick,
heavy woody snare, lush breaky percussion and a mid 00’s call-back, tripletty, mildly distorted square bass. The vocal arrangement alternates between entire sections of the vocal and words and short phrases echoing off on long delays to create a comforting ambience.

Lastly, but certainly not least, why have one Wes, when you can have 2? Weses, Wez Walker and Wes Mather (aka Amnesty) team up under their Kosmic Shift moniker to bring a colder and more melancholy vibe to round out the remixes section of the EP, balancing out the warmth of the previous remix. Chillier than an
arctic wind swirling around you on a snowy day, the track pivots around a repeated walking piano motif accented throughout the track by the occasional counter-melody. Deep and menacing sub bass and crisp drumwork provide the frame for the vocals, which take on an ethereal quality in these frigid settings.

The Jungle is well and truly massive on this one.
“feeling alright” encompasses all the elements
modern Jungle should do, with an excellent array
of amens, claps and kicks driving into a full on
bass riddim any junglist would be proud of.

Our female vocalist for this one, hits just the rights not leading right into the `wobs` and
`wubs` dedicated to smash any dancefloor worldwide.

The title track of the EP is a mind-bending way to kick off proceedings. With an introduction full of
sharp slaps and a voice to send shivers down many a spine, it perfectly builds to a drop of distorted
sounds that are greatly gruesome. Deep and low basslines accompanied by occasional snappy sirens,
blasting neuro breaks and a continuing build through the breakdown lead up to choppy synths that
cut through you like a scalpel on Dr Cortex’ operating table.
