That silence right in the middle? That's where this song starts.

It opens with a lonely, fractured classical melody. It sounds like the echo of a world that used to be whole, drifting in the dark. It’s that feeling of staring at the pieces of something you love—a relationship, a dream, a version of yourself—and wondering if it can ever fit together again.

But you can't fix something this big with a whisper. You need gravity. You need force.

That’s when the beat kicks in. It starts low, like the core trying to reignite. And then... the drop.

It’s pure kinetic energy. The hardstyle kick is the sound of forcing those two halves back together through sheer will. It’s violent, it’s emotional, and it’s exhausting. It’s the sound of refusing to stay broken, even when the universe is trying to pull you apart.

Maybe it won't look the same as it did before. But we’re going to piece it back.

We resume our mission to deliver more quality music, now with the labels first release of 2018 from rising names in the scene Revaux, with the title track 'Colours' featuring another ascending starlet, Charli Brix.

Colours itself has been a while in the works, but Revaux and Charli have well and truly out done themselves on this track, and as a label, we couldn't want to kick off the year in better way. With a strong message to boot, we don't think this one will be fading away anytime soon.

Revaux then went in on the flip 'Trainwreck', rolling out a bad boy smasher to really complete the release. We feel the Leeds brothers Joe and Ru are properly showcasing their potential with this single, and we're seriously proud to be able to put this one out for them.

Skankandbass is dedicated towards the official promotion of record labels and artists in the world of drum & bass music. Since inception in 2009, Skankandbass has unearthed some of the freshest talents in the scene and has opened many doors for unsigned artists. Now, through Skankandbass Records we release a series of free download singles which aims to further help spread the work of the best unsigned, newcomer artists who deserve more recognition.

Dutch talent DOt. first came onto our radar last year, with his debut releases on Lifestyle, Lost and Subplate, which hinted at a dark, menacing sound design with a level of production rarely found in a producer's first year of releasing music.  We're very excited for his debut on Skankandbass Records with the excellent SNB048, as DOt. highlights his versatility on sublime liquid cut 'Messenger', and his trademark ominous sound on 'Misinterpeted'.
