Jen Symmetry has loved and played drum and bass since the early 2000’s at clubs, parties, and festivals, offering direct support for international acts including Dieselboy, DJ Hype, J Majik, Hive, Reid Speed, John B, Spor and others as a member of DC and Bassheadz Productions out of Minneapolis. Past residencies include Infused at First Ave, 9th Circle at Club Underground, and Revolutions radio 89.3 FM in Boston. She’s brought her energetic track selection and precise mixing skills across the US, including Chicago, San Diego, Miami (WMC World of Drum and Bass 2004 and NYC. She currently collaborates with Proper Chicago and Mechanix Minneapolis, as well as hosts the popular Twitch channel SLPDNB. In 2021 she also earned the title of 916Junglist/Dystopia DJ Battle champion, and has recently reignited her love of music production. Regardless of your taste in music, Jen’s style and passion will have you busting a move on the dancefloor. Tally G is back for her fourth installment with the series and we're proud to say we've got another doosey of a mix on our hands. As expected this most talented mixtress delivers another quick moving session full of bangers, and intricate, precise blends. Keeping the flow interesting, artistic, and in rhythm, Tally G drives home a Junglist based session full of dope drums and memorable samples. Bio
Tally G (San Diego), behind the decks off and on for the past two decades, is known
for her diversity as a (mostly) drum and bass DJ, seamlessly blending jungle,
footwork, juke, and neurofunk, among other subgenres, most notably deep, dark,
techy minimal DnB. Every set is a journey, told through a combination of long,
thoughtful transitions, skillfully quick mixing, and energetic double drops guaranteed
to get bodies moving and gun fingers popping. She is one half of Hologynic and one
half of Tex n Bass. She holds residencies with Boomslang Recordings (USDNB), Siren
Project (NYC), Proper Chicago, The Distinguished (CO), Syncopation (AZ), and THC Kru
(USDNB) and is the co-founder of El Paso’s DNBtherapy Drum and Bass. Tally G is also
on the board of directors for Siren Project, an all female-identifying collective
dedicated to providing safe spaces for trans-, non-binary, and cis-women performers
who raise funds for various nonprofit organizations. She has played around the United
States and is currently learning music production.

Label co-owner Moakz returns to Codename: RCRDS - ‘Another Dream EP’, the sixth release on Codename: RCRDS, the new label from Southampton-based jungle, 160 and atmospheric crew Codename: Amen.  The release and label channel the energy of the 90’s rave era, pushing the sound forward into exciting new directions for 2023.   

 ‘Another Dream EP’ marks another flip up in style for this versatile artist, this time focussing on jungle and hardcore-influenced stylings.  The EP opens with the tribal ‘Howler Monkey (Another Dream)’, a feverish and mystical stepper straight out of the Amazon, where Think breaks collide with tribal drums, booming sub bass and eerie chanting vocals.

Joint label owner and long-time friend Rome joins Moakz for his first release on the label ‘Cosmic Explosion’, flipping things into a different direction again, full of deep and dubby organic goodness, with rumbling reeces, brass stabs, strings and metallic tones keeping things rolling nicely.

The EP continues with ‘Back To The Earth’, with Moakz once again stepping things out with a deep vibe, as soulful vocals cry “Who’s To Blame?” whilst powerful drums criss-cross with technical malfunctions.

Things draw to a close with the post-hardcore vibes of ‘Gotta Take It Easy’, which mashes cinematic strings, haunting vocals, 303s, gorgeous rhodes, dubby bass and rolling breaks into an inventive closure to the EP.
