Had the rather cool opportunity to play a virtual club, Club Rhythm courtesy of Utherverse.io. I didn't really know what the audience would be like so I tried to keep things on the lighter side while still introducing some harder edges and keeping it centered towards the dancefloor. 

It was an interesting 'challenge' as a DJ, to try and cater to a crowd that you really know nothing about. I tend to give a lot of thought to that as well as seeing what else is on the lineup.  I had neither option in this scenario.  My hope is it made some asses shake, both virtually and in real life.

Shipp is a Southampton based selector and one of the head honchos for re:gen records, a label known for techy beats across the bass spectrum.
While normally specialising in dark dnb, 140 and garage this mix explores another side of Shipp, showcasing his versatility in his abilities to select the perfect songs for the vibe he sets out to create within his mixes, and with this one providing an uplifting soulful adventure.

Cybernetic Special __55 by Sharky

Drumcore Vol. 1 marks the return to the producer Alwis. Taking inspiration from iconic video games from the late 1990s — from Wipeout to Jet Set Radio — this EP revives a sense of nostalgia where speed is an aesthetic and original soundtracks are a style in their own right. 
Effective fusion of IDM, drum & bass and breakcore, Alwis plays with the boundaries of percussion within a dense and hyperactive electronic universe. His productions display a disconcerting mastery of the genre which presents itself as a brutal encounter of samples, flows, chords, rhythms and other fluctuations coming from all sides. 
For its part, k:i:o:s:k offers an unrestrained remix that injects dub resonances into a syncopated and fragmented architecture. The deconstruction adds a depth that is faithful to the frenetic energy that runs through the entire release.
