live life through the music.......... this is how I get through.... it......the pain, the  struggles.... the ignorance of others......the lies...carelessness.... but in all fairness.... this....isn't how  it was meant to be..... they ain't no half stepp'n when the troubles be stepp'n right in front of me.......flowing through my insides like the blood racing in my veins........bass beating like my cold heart...with force and rage........all alone... with just my head in phones...... I have escaped.

Professor Funk is a vocalist, songwriter, poet, producer and world bender residing in Northern California, crafting sprawling stories amongst the giant redwood trees and endless coastline. Where other lyricists build rhymes and write bars, Professor Funk builds bridges to new worlds. 

Though virtually unknown globally, in 19 years of performing, Professor Funk has managed to log thousands of hours of stage time in multiple genres; sharing the stage with Amde Hamilton, Aphrodite, Dead Prez, Krs-one, and Zion I to name a few. 

Professor Funk’s currently weaving West Coast Hip Hop storytelling lyrics with DnB; creating a lyrical star map incorporating both historical realism and Afro Futurism.
