Alias23 aka Rowan Gliori is known for the darker, harder sounds in the realms of techno and has been fully immersed in the underside of the Scottish electronic music scene for a long time. From DJing at free parties for rigs who shall remain unnamed to guest and resident spots at various Edinburgh nights, it’s been a bit of a wild ride.

He first became heavily influenced from attending Edinburgh’s legendary “Sativa’ club. In particular a night when DJ Hell guested, this was his first proper techno experience. From then on he went from being a humble fan of all sorts of darker, heavier industrial music (NIN being a powerful influence) to being somewhat obsessed and he began taking a great deal of interest in the actual performance aspect of a night (as it looked like the DJs were having even more fun than he was).

So decks and a mixer were procured and Edinburgh’s underground vinyl shops suddenly received a lot of early Saturday morning patronage from one rather spaced out, dreadlocked techno addict whose collection of electric guitars were suddenly gathering a lot of dust. And so it began……………..

Currently he’s one of the co-founders and residents @ ETC (Edinburgh Tekno Cartel), where he’s played alongside some of his personal musical heroes. He’s also played away on the continent alongside even more people who were previously just names on record labels but have since become good personal friends. These days, as well as playing ETC, Alias23 can be found playing some of Scotland’s smaller, more intimate festivals, like “Audio Soup” and “Knockengorroch” ………… and a number of more spontaneous and less, shall we say, “officially sanctioned” events.

Now with pin point mixing skills, he’s ended up owning a somewhat large collection of vinyl, and produces his own distinctive style of electronic noise, the live sets of which are laden with exceptionally stunning brutality that always grinds any size of gathering into full on submission to the beat."

A notorious DJ, collector and producer since 1998, he has played a major role in the Dutch Free Party scene with his crew: ZMK Soundsystem. Their unique blend of tekno, hardtek, hardcore and breaks instantly spread across Europe, through their vinyl label and various sublabels. From 2010 Stefan ZMK started to release his tracks on various European labels like Obs.Cur, Peur Bleue, Mackitek, Hangar, Hit ’n Run, etc. With tracks like Summoned, Predator and Surrender, he has made a firm mark on the rising Acidtekno and Acidcore scene. Those sought-after records are a fresh combination of acidic, mental and industrial sounds, with the fierce impact of techno and hardcore. 
His unique sound and insane cross-genre mixing skills has taken him all over Europe, even playing major events like Dominator, Q-base, Totemystik, Retro Acid, DefQon1, Lost Theory, Bangface Weekender, PRSPCT XL, Winter Conspiracy, X-live, Foorcore, Elements Mountain Festival, Nowhere Spain etc. 
And since the first C19 lockdown, Stefan teamed up with Li-Z to host the bimonthly cross genre radioshow MXSRS on PRSPCT Radio. 

Over the years, he has gained the reputation for smoothly switching between contrasting styles, using obscure elements, custom edits and the freshest beats available. And with over 23 years of experience, he is considered to be, one of the most booked Dutch DJs from the free-party movement.

Al Twisted a Scotsman, has been seriously involved in the Hardcore Techno scene since the late 90's and has firmly established himself as one of the UK Underground's main forces. He not only plays regularly up and down the UK, across Europe and as far as Australia, but is a producer, a booking agent, record label manager and a promoter. The self confessed Hardcoreholic has been promoting Hardcore parties consistanly for 17 years and is founder with and still responsible for famous event brands such as "Twisted", "Darkside", "Ibiza Goes Hard" and record labels "Motormouth Recordz" and "Darkside Unleashed". Al keeps his hand in with production primarily on his Motormouth label but frequently appears elsewhere with releases on labels like "PRPSCT XTRM", "Industrial Strength", "IST", "DNA", "Megarave", "Partyraiser", "Footworxx", "Nukleuz" and many more. As owner and manager of Twisted Artists booking agency Al also looks after the diary of many of the world's finest Hardcore artists.
