Say What? 178 brings us a duo in the form of 2 German brothers called - ENERTY. At the end of the 90's they began with DJ-ing and to produce electronic music. As STR & Tim Tycoon they played at different techno clubs in their hometown. In 2003 the two guys released their 1st EP 'we are HE-Men' on Pocketgame Records including a remix by Legowelt. Various releases on numerous labels followed. They delivered us 4 rolling techno tunes for their blasting debut 

The title track 'Permission' is a deep excursion into techno realm of the brothers with a trippy but catchy lead and a never-ending groove that takes you away with its first beat and shows that we are in for a treat with this release 

Second on the release is 'Restless' a massive tune with an infectious rhythm and flawless sound design that will make many go wild. The track showcases the talent of the duo in delivering quality techno monsters 

The third track of the EP is '130'. This dynamic and high-energy tune takes listeners on a sonic journey through a futuristic world of pulsing beats and atmospheric synths, or in other words a dancefloor-ready anthem! 

Last on the release is 'Hexagon' and for sure one that is not to be forgotten. The perfect blend of pounding beats and the mesmerising synth patterns is so well balanced, that it creates an immersive experience that is sure to ignite floor worldwide

Alan Fitzpatrick is back with a three-track EP that encapsulates what Alan’s Drumcode sound is all about. Hard-hitting drums that fire down onto the dance floor like cannon balls. Check! Intense key patterns that are as twisted as they are uplifting. Check! Beautiful melodies that seamlessly interlock with each element. Check! Big-sounding, infectious grooves and killer hooks generously sprinkled with the infamous Fitzpatrick magic over the top. CHECK! In short, this EP is everything we have come to expect from Alan over his long history with Drumcode (this is his 10th EP as a solo artist!), but still his sound remains fresh and super-charged for 2014.

We are happy to welcome Maceo Plex to Drumcode with the fourth instalment of his Conjure series, ‘Conjure Infinity’. Featuring two tracks ‘Conjure Dreams’ and ‘Conjure Floyd’, both are peak time monsters that introduce two very different elements. ‘Conjure Dreams’ utilises a groovy, melodic bass that is reinforced using tight thumping drums to shatter any dance floor into the universe. ‘Conjure Floyd’ builds into a more ‘heads down’ techno vibe with a very interesting breakdown. Two sure fire tracks to ignite the floor.

A great philosopher (Samuel Johnson, not Ebeneezer Goode) once wrote… “our brightest blazes of gladness are commonly kindled by unexpected sparks”. While it would be a stretch to suggest the Drumcode artist roster are closet philosophy fans, once one begins to unravel the tale that led to Jel Ford remixing the 2012 Alan Fitzpatrick hit ‘For An Endless Night’ and it is impossible to escape the unexpected enterprise and spirit of surprise that are at the heart of this exciting collaboration. 

As fans of Adam Beyer’s label will testify, the two Drumcode names have more in common than just a label stable, they also share common ground with the peak-time melodic sound that has delivered many of the labels most memorable output. Ford being a much more recent addition than Fitzpatrick, whose history with the seminal Swedish imprint stretches back to 2009, however Ford’s history within techno goes back even further having released multiple EP’s through the early noughties on vintage UK techno labels including Dave Angel’s Rotation Records, Billy Nasty’s Tortured Records, Primate Recordings and Ford’s own Jericho imprint. 

It is within this shared passion for uplifting synths and big room melodies that the ‘unexpected spark’ of creativity that led to Ford remixing Fitzpatrick can be found. An long-time admirer of Fitzpatrick’s work, Ford had developed an idea for his alternative version and secretly worked on the remix long before any discussion of the project had taken place. Once given the draft version, Fitzpatrick immediately endorsed the remix, excited to have an updated version to breath new life into what had become a familiar staple of his sets for the past two years. Parts were swapped and the end result being the barnstorming end-of-night monster presented here. A track that will be familiar with many having been the subject of much social-media furor since it first surfaced back in Autumn 2014.

The Drumcode A-Sides compilation is quickly becoming synonymous within the techno world as a go to compilation for the hottest tracks that are deservedly A-side material in their own right. Each specific track has it own unique character that brings an outstanding and electrifying aspect to the compilation that as a whole makes it something extremely special. Mixing both highly experienced and new artists has helped to bring a new dimension to the compilation that makes it such a special array of tracks.

Having thawed the winters chill with his Elements EP earlier this year, SCI+TEC regular Alex Mine returns to warm our bones with his Time Lapse EP, and fresh from being selected as one of the key artists to feature on the label’s 10 Years of SCI+TEC compilation, with his ’Name Of What’ track, the Italian promptly delivers a fresh and weighty new four track selection. 

The title track leads the EP with its huge kick, echoing vocal spikes and synth chords to create a tense but electrifying atmosphere. ‘Egoes’ follows, pushing the tempo with its tight groove and frenzied acid line to create a powerful dancefloor moment. 

From that piercing peak to the dreamy depths of ‘Forth Dimension’ and its delicate, inviting bassline and simple melody. A soothing slice and one that readies us for the rugged tribal stomp of the brilliant and elegantly twisted closer, ‘Krantor’.

Rodolfo Wehba (WEHBBA), born in Sao Paulo, Brazil has been spinning techno and house records for over a decade and has rightfully earned his place as one of the world's leading and most respected techno artists. 

After much recognition and success in Brazil, like many artists, he decided to make the move to Barcelona, the European hub for producers and artists – where he now has his studio and is based their full time.

His distinct style and stellar production skills have earned him collaborations with the world’s most respected artists including Laurent Garnier, Danny Tenaglia, John Digweed, Stacey Pullen, Joseph Capriati, Stephan Bodzin, Marc Houle, ANNA and Christian Smith, a long standing production partner and Tronic Music’s label boss.

Since 2009, he has had a steady stream of outstanding EP’s that have all graced the Beatport charts regularly on labels including Drumcode, Soma, Bedrock, 2020Vision, Elevate, Knee Deep In Sound and Tronic, where he’s based most of his output, including critically acclaimed albums “Full Circle” and “Square Two”, in 2010 and 2013 respectively.

He has displayed his versatility as a musician with guest appearances from Jon Dixon and D’Sean Jones, from the Detroit groups D3 and Timeline, part of the legendary Underground Resistance collective, in his 2013 album “Square Two”. Since then he has secured interesting and diverse projects, including being featured on “The Magnificent Seven” movie promotion via Sony Pictures, remixing the main theme of the motion pictures soundtrack. 

You can catch his mixes every month with his residency at Pioneer DJ Radio, as well as regular appearances on Tronic Radio. Not forgetting his exclusive streaming with Boiler Room in Sao Paulo back in 2014 where he performed a set with only his own productions under different aliases.

2017 saw Wehbba balancing a hectic touring schedule with some downtime in the studio, developing his production style and testing out new hardware for his last few remixes for Marc Houle and Philip Bader, making a debut on both those labels, as well as his track ‘Unfold” which was featured on the SUM compilation on Second State. 

And finally, his track ‘Fake’ on Drumcode’s much loved A-Sides compilation. A track that did so well, we can now expect his fully road tested 4 track EP ‘Eclipse’ on the 19th February, it’s going to be a big one!  Already planning his creative ideas to follow for this year, Wehbba looks set for some cool collaborations, so keep an eye out for updates.
