The first single to be taken from Slam’s truly astounding upcoming album ‘Reverse Proceed’ sees the hypnotic Pattern A3 alongside some of Techno’s biggest and brightest new stars adding their own versions also.

Slam have chosen one of the major standout tracks from Reverse Proceed to set the tone prior to the album’s full release in late October. With the album built around the concept of varying sequences, it’s fitting that the first single be given such an apt name. Taken directly form the Cirklon sequencer pattern that helped design the track Pattern A3 features heavily modulating synths that seems to have a fully organic life of their own set against the typical backdrop of 909 drums. 

Following on from Slam’s original, Soma have enlisted the help of 3 of the label’s favourite contemporary Techno artists. Argentina’s Jonas Kopp is first up on remix duties and deliver an absolute pile-driver of a remix with his signature thudding drums and machine-gun like percussion firing rapidly against subtle and stripped synth elements.
 
Swedish based Bleak is a very welcome addition to this package as he offers his own ‘Modular Interpretation’. Heavy sub bass and intelligent drum work outs combine with yet more subtle hints of the original’s synth elements to give a more deep and introspective version. 

Rounding off the EP is latest Soma artist Charles Fenckler. The young French artist is making waves in Techno at the moment and has certainly delivered on this project, giving his version a much more minimalistic, stripped and ends up with a solid dance floor burner.

"Mark Greene is an Irish DJ/Producer based in Meath just outside Dublin. Witnessing the likes of The Advent & Industrialyzer, Richie Hawtin and Dave Clarke on the Dublin Techno scene led him to running his own events with friends and pursuing a diploma in Sound Engineering.

Three years later he signed his first track to Berlin-based label Berlin Aufnahmen. Each year since, Mark’s sound has developed with appearances on David Temessi’s DSR Digital, Andrea Frisina’s Gate Null Recordings and John ‘00’ Fleming's underground label JOOF Records.

Following a spate of heavy hitting releases Mark had his first International gig…in Berlin. Since then, he has made subsequent appearances in Germany as well as Austria, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Poland and of course Ireland.

Alongside busy evenings in his small studio, Mark hosts a monthly radio show entitled ‘Progress Radio’. The show is broadcast via Syndicast.co.uk on over 32 stations worldwide from Russia to Argentina, Italy to Japan and it is also available on SoundCloud and iTunes.

Having initially being known for his harder take on Techno, Mark’s productions have moved toward a more groove-orientated approach in recent years. With original releases now signed to labels like Spektre’s Respekt Recordings, Steve Mulder’s Orange Recordings, Oscar Aguilera’s HE-ART and Hollen’s Italian imprint Prospect Records, Mark looks to be riding the crest of a wave."

Daryl Stay - Closure (Original Mix) [Tronic]

Hailing from Amsterdam, making his debut on 100% Pure is LAAT with his Fight The Real EP. Two corkers that have been a staple in 2000 and One’s sets for the last couple of weeks…albeit in livestreams.

On the A-side we find namesake Fight The Real, a vocal techno stomper with raw, brooding vocals that resonate in these quarantine times now more than ever. Combing this with meticulously programmed synth lines and a no holds barred breakdown, this one got all the ingredients to deliver the goods. On the flip side we find Vortexchaser. An epic journey through melancholic synths and pulsating stabs, combined with a thunderous low end, transporting you straight into sci-fi territory.

Both tracks receive 100% Pure’s seal of approval and are definitely not to be missed for all techno connoisseurs.
