After having a single included on our latest Monolith Series VA, we welcome back Italian rising star Frankyeffe's for his first full EP on Kraftek.  Following releases on Alan Fitzpatrick's We Are The Brave and Monika Kruse's Terminal M, his "Genesis EP" on Kraftek features two stellar tracks that incorporate atmospheric, melodic themes, which while moody at parts, ultimately feature some of the most beautiful uplifting hooks we've released to date. UMEK’s label 1605 presents an EP from French duo Cosmic Boys, who recently featured on the imprint working in collaboration with UMEK himself, but this time they are back with two solo tracks.

Cosmic Boys previous works have been released via tracks and remixes on labels such as Popof’s FORM, Oscar Aguilera’s HE-ART and Richie Hawtin’s Minus.

Quickly rising through the ranks of the world’s techno elite, Cosmic Boys have achieved many top 10 selling tracks on Beatport, and currently their collaboration with UMEK is charted at No.2 in the techno section of the website.

The duo consists of Sebastien Bevil plus Gaby Meynadier, and they have also proven popular DJ’s with several festival bookings across Europe.

“Paranormal” opens the release with a hammering kick drum and tense pads that lay a foundation for the arpeggiating lead synth and sci-fi effects. Swelling with tension, its high-paced energy gives the track a frantic momentum that’s perfect for peak time plays.

Second of the cuts, “We Are The Futrur” is deeper and more stripped back with a building euphoria that engulfs the track. Underpinned by the relentless pounding of the tough percussion and sinister tones of the ominous vocal, this cut is a twisted blend of dark and light textures.

A work 12 months in the making, Alex Lentini & STOMP BOXX deliver a standout EP debut.

The Italian pair – living at the extreme opposites of their country’s ‘boot’ will be new names to the Drumcode faithful. They first appeared on the label in December 2020, with a strong contribution to A-Sides Vol.10 titled ‘Expanders’. 

So impressed was Adam Beyer with their productions, a fulsome debut EP was secured soon after. ‘Fine Line’ was conceived in the final stages of 2019. With the extra studio time lockdown provided, the duo enjoyed a creative freefall,  
allowing them to refine a five-track work that sits at the intersection of home-listening techno and dancefloor functionalism. 

‘Natural Desire’ has a definable spunk to it, as pulsating chords undulate towards a breathy pad-laden finish. ‘Shifting Soul’ is exquisite, as crunchy drums and a rousing vocal ensure it’s a memorable addition to the Drumcode canon. The title track is colourful and thrilling in equal doses, as muscular synth lines coalesce alongside pin-sharp rhythms.  
‘Altered Cycle’ is skilfully composed and marked by a stirring melodic lead and funky percussive underbelly. ‘Curved Blade’ is abrasive and gritty, before a dreamy spoken word interlude arouses an introspective mood. A fitting soundtrack for our times.

“2020 was both strange and terrible, especially for music lovers. But it gave us enough time to carve out this collaboration.
