<p>Label boss Sasha Carassi takes control of the situation and delivers the futuristic &#8220;Echoes&#8221;, which is led by haunting synths and arpeggiated intricacies, all coming together to form a nostalgic vibe, while the persistent rhythm section chugs away and commanding vocal snippets keep the heads down. Things tense up a bit on &#8220;Clorophilia&#8221; where we are treated to growling synthesis and mutating, analog goodness, leaving clever effects to fill in the gaps and keep the suspense level high.</p>

Intec is known to many a Techno fan as a scene leading label set up by the iconic Carl Cox who has been at the forefront of DJ culture since the early 90’s.

Boasting a roster of artists including the label boss himself plus Nicole Moudaber, Jon Rundell, Marco Bailey, Carlo Lio, Cristian Varela and Dosem amongst many others of a similar calibre.

The new Intec release welcomes back Fabio Neural who along with seven previous releases on Intec, many will also recognise Fabio from imprints such as SCI+TEC, Intacto, KD Music, Serkal and Adam Beyer’s label Truesoul.

Fabio now travels the globe regularly DJ’ing on the same line up scene leaders like Richie Hawtin, Chris Liebing and Sven Väth.

An exciting talent yet to peak, this four track solo EP is a fine example of why Italian born Fabio has earned international respect and a fan base that spans continents.

“Bonzai” opens the release with looped pads that are packed with tension and sound almost like a warning siren, whilst muffled vocals create a sense of curiosity and menacing bass stabs add to the tracks overall intensity. Relenting only for the euphoria of the main breakdown, this dancefloor focused Techno track is both dark and furious.

Second on the release is “Inside Me” that fuses the rising tones of a soulful vocal with heavy percussion and a grinding bass line. Its rolling groove brought to life with claps and fast flowing hi-hats can only be described as peak time Techno at its best.

Track three titled “Seligman” is led by a pulsating lead synth that morphs into twisted acid with a hypnotic groove. Snares add to the tracks powerful forward momentum and textured FX create a sense of wide open space, which gives the track a vast and epic sound.

Finishing the EP is “Sick Boy” which takes its name from the hair-raising vocal which states “I’m going to tear your soul apart”. Sick and twisted, the track’s sinister lead synth adds to its chilling vibe and haunting atmosphere, but like any thrill seeker knows… it’s the compelling suspense and threat of impending doom that speaks the most excitement!

Brazilian producer ANNA steps up to Matador’s RUKUS imprint with her ‘Haze Moon’ EP, featuring the deep and ethereal title track that delivers a massive sound.

Showcasing her signature production style, ANNA presents an overall essence that envelopes the entire atmosphere as euphoric tones carry throughout ‘Haze Moon’. Steady techno rhythms hypnotize the listener and make this an ideal peak-time track.

As Matador expands the range of his label, moving on from solely supporting the Dublin artist's own material, ANNA represents the bright future of RUKUS’ catalogue.

The ‘Haze Moon’ EP will be released on RUKUS on April 14, and also includes remixes by Matador and Marc Houle.

Drumcode returns with its 6th installment of the internationally celebrated A-Sides series. Renowned for fostering a shared space between industry tastemakers and rising talent alike, the careful curation that goes into each volume is a fine example of why Beyer’s brand continues to go from strength to strength.

Techno titan Adam Beyer has grown Drumcode into a force to be reckoned with; the label has become synonymous with forward-thinking, functional techno and even after 20 years, Drumcode continues to find new boundaries to push, and ways to solidify its legacy as the world’s number one techno label. 

2017 is no exception, with Beyer’s imprint hosting it’s first stage at Tomorrowland, not to mention the expansion of the critically acclaimed Junction 2 where the Drumcode stage is the centrepiece and Adam plays the key role of festival director. The Drumcode phenomenon continues to grow each week, chiefly fuelled by Drumcode Radio, Adam’s radio show that’s broadcast in 57 countries via 86 stations and to a global audience of 16 million techno fans per week. 

The A-Sides series acts as a perfect vignette of Drumcode’s cutting-edge sound; functional yet inspired techno, all tracks tried and tested by Beyer himself. Vol. 6 continues this tradition with a collection of 16 multi-faceted cuts from a mixture of both emerging artists and experienced label friends. 

The heart-throbbing bass in Amelie Lens’ electrifying piece ‘In Silence’ sets the tone for the dark and dance-floor-ready energy that Vol.6 carries the whole way through. Other standouts include Mars Bill’s rough’n’ready ‘Mohave’. Pulsating and precise, ‘Mohave’ has highlighted many of Beyer’s sets recently as has Wehbba’s monster track ‘Fake’, which fans have been anticipating the release of all year. 

Label-favourites Dense & Pika also feature on ‘A-Sides’ Vol. 6 with their hard-hitting ‘Just a Beat’ and a huge track from Beyer himself who has joined forces with Enrico Sangiuliano to bring us their undeniably infectious ‘Preset Heaven’. 

With many more notable selections from the likes of Julian Jewell, Timmo, Tiger Stripes and Pig&Dan, A-Sides Vol. 6 is another impressive addition to the label’s prolific release roster and a testament to why Drumcode remains at the forefront of the electronic world.

One of our label favourites The Reactivitz returns for Respekt 158. Title track 'Oudjat' combines his trademark razor-sharp percussion with eerie atmospherics and scything synths for a no nonsense dancefloor workout. 'I Can Wait' takes things in a more epic direction, with synth chords and sirens paired with a memorable vocal hook.
The supporting remixes come from Rudosa, who puts a tougher spin on 'I Can Wait', and Joe Blake, who dubs out a moody interpretation of 'Oudjat'

Almost one year in the making, Bulgaria’s outstanding techno talent lands his return to Drumcode with a four-track EP. 

Timmo (aka Valeri Ivanov) doesn’t do things in half measures. Since the release of his excellent ‘System’ EP last year and ‘Muzik’, his inclusion on A-Sides Vol.6, he’s committed himself to crafting, refining and polishing a quartet of cuts inspired by the cosmic realms beyond planet earth. Titled ‘Meteorite’, its release marks 10 years since he first began producing and stakes its claim as a resounding career highlight with tracks already highlighting gigs for Adam Beyer at Tobacco Dock, Awakenings, Future Kappa Festival and Junction 2.

Beginning with the title track, the streamlined work throbs with a searing synthetic pulse. ‘Black Moon’ sees the EP land its first blow, kicking with a mixture of undulating synths and understated hoovers. ‘Spacetime’ stays true to its name delivering intergalactic techno vibes. ‘Cosmos’ concludes the work, taking us into extra-terrestrial dancefloor territory, with a barrage of trippy synth work and a melodic underbelly the makes the track both beautiful and heavy-hitting in equal measure.
