Rossie @rossie_music and Plecta @plecta86 join forces for the first time on Univack to deliver a vibrant and sensorial EP, composed of two original tracks and a remix by Argentinian producer Agustin Pietrocola@agus-pietrocola . “Matala / Cariló” moves fluidly between Progressive House and Organic House, filled with rhythmic richness, sonic nuance, and a strong personality that aligns perfectly with the spirit of the label.

“Cariló” opens the journey with tribal energy, precise percussion, immersive ethnic vocals, and acidic textures that build a bold identity and make an immediate impact on the dancefloor. In “Matala”, the mood becomes brighter, driven by a distinctive groove and bassline, blended with a wide palette of samples, effects, and sonic details that enrich every bar. To close the EP, Agustin Pietrocola transforms “Matala” into a more progressive and powerful version, adding sophisticated harmonic tension—ideal for emotional climaxes or deep nighttime sessions that require direction and depth.

Drumcode favourite Bart Skils kickstarts the new year with his sixth EP for the label Bark Skils opens new year's season with his 6th hard hitting EP released on Drumcode

Since his debut on Drumcode in 2012, Bart Skils has been one of the label’s most regular contributors, with the Dutchman’s brand of functional, hook-driven techno a go-to weapon for Adam Beyer; from his stellar ‘Shadowprint’ EP in 2014, to last year’s classy remix of Moby’s ‘Go’. One of The Netherland’s hardest working ambassadors for techno, he is the organiser of the beloved Voltt Love Summer Festival that’s has been a favourite of Beyer’s for many years. 

His latest work for Drumcode, ‘Bells of the Revolution’ continues his impeccable reputation for quality with everything he does, with four cuts all with their own distinct storyline. The title track is characterised by dark driving grooves and bubbling acid line that slowly evolves into a lush melodic riff. ‘Ocean Drive’ nose-dives into deeper techno territory, while maintaining a sense of exquisite tension throughout. ‘Vocalized’ follows, a stomping acid techno cut that slides into the deep courtesy of skilfully programmed vox and elegant licks of melody. The EP concludes with ‘Retrodade’, a track that’s been one of the biggest in Beyer’s sets in 2017 and features the famous vocal from Rozalla’s ‘Everybody’s Free’. The sample was used with kind permission from the iconic ‘90s singer.

Markantonio is an artist who has been instrumental in helping develop the techno scene in his home country of Italy, and this year celebrates his twentieth anniversary of releasing music.

In his career, Markantonio has released on many great labels ranging from Drumcode to his own AnalyticTrail. Along with his many solo releases, he's also been a regular collaborator with Lerio Corrado, and together they have released tracks on Tronic, Second State and now Intec.

Lerio Corrado also based in Italy is a young producer who originally made contact with Markantonio after signing some of his music to AnalyticTrail, and he also boasts an impressive back catalogue of solo tracks on imprints including Loose Records, Little Helpers and Unrilis.

Conventional Dreams opens the release with rippling synths and heavy percussion that are soon joined by razor-sharp hi-hats that slice through the offbeat. The intensity builds as this techno tidal wave unfolds with muffled vocals and haunting atmospherics that engulf the listener.

Next up is A Life and its arpeggiated lead synth with euphoric energy that blends with thrashing ride cymbals and a rolling bassline. Uplifting whilst also having a menacing undertone, this enthralling cut is has a precision engineered design perfect for peak time plays.

Last but not least is Assault that starts with an extended intro that slowly unfolds into a looped melody hook encased in a percussive framework. The hypnotising groove builds to a crescendo in the main breakdown before unleashing a surge of energy when the drums come crashing back in.

Andrea Oliva is the latest blue-chip artist to make their debut on Truesoul in 2019.

The respected Swiss DJ/producer has long commanded the juncture between house and techno, releasing on-point cuts on Cadenza, Objektivity and more recently Cuttin Headz and Play It, Say It!. He’s likewise put his stamp on Ibiza as a resident of one of the island’s premiere underground weeklies, ANTS. It was at the Ushuaia party’s opening in May 2018 that Adam Beyer recorded Drumcode Radio episode #411, making Oliva’s debut on Truesoul a natural follow-on. 

The ‘Repeater’ EP is a muscular four-track package, the original built around persistent synth stabs made for sweat box moments. Label favourite Oscar L amplifies the intensity, adding an exhilarating melodic underbelly and fiery snares pushing the vibe towards peak time. ‘Jam Table’ throbs with a rave-injected pulse as scattergun key patterns add a deliciously head-scrambling element to the mix. Drumcode regular Marco Faraone dons a Truesoul cap to contribute a deeper, Detroit-inspired work to round out the pack.
