Harvey’s highly anticipated single starts with the title track ‘Lost’ that comprises of a catchy vocal hook and rhythmic synth stabs to set the mood. This is layered over a straight, serious beat that has lots of energy and grit to make any speaker stack shake. ‘Find My Mind’ uses a mixture of reversed and straight hats to create a funky groove that is sprinkled with hypnotic synth stabs and a mesmerising vocal. ‘Hard To See’ uses a funky sub bass in combination with some swinging drums to create a groove that will rattle the speakers and bring the house down.

Kaiserdisco start the three-track single with ‘El Tiburon’ that has a pulsating bass line, which isn’t for the feint hearted. This peak time stomper uses a melodic synth and unusual synth effects to create the building atmosphere before it kicks back into the throbbing beat. The ascending bass line on the second track ‘La Caballa’, is supported by white noise and a rising synth that will make any dancefloor erupt into a heated flow of energy. The third and final track ‘La Morena’, is a bit more on the funky side of techno, using rhythmic percussion to create a cool, peak-time vibe.

Also launching his own highly revered radio show called 'Big Room' which,has had guests such as Robert Babicz, Umek, Fergie, Alan Fitzpatrick and many more,Timmo is a name to look out for in 2014.  Timmo's debut Drumcode release 'We Beat On' carries a flow through out that gives Timmo his own unique sound that has captured the ears of many highly revered techno DJ's around the world. Timmo uses hypnotic sounds and phrases whilst he always maintains a thumping techno beat that underlies all the tracks within this EP to maximum effect. Furthermore, there is a ghostly feel amongst Timmo's tracks that really provide him with his acquired sound, the pads in 'Canvas' are a beautiful reminder of this. Timmo also uses strong synth stabs to full effect that juxtapose against the drums to help create the tension and aggression that is present within techno.

Hamburg based Mathias Hatting aka Hatzler doles out a slice of heavy hitting Techno in his Another Life EP, joined by Citizen Kain & Kiko as well as Bulgarian Tech House champ Metodi Hristov.

Collider kicks in with stomping bass and a high energy lead. Instilling an overall dark and dungeon like ambiance, glitched out synth pads dominate the melody, which booms and shuffles before settling on a single rhythm.

Citizen Kain & Kiko team up on the rework, bringing some French flair into the mix. Initiating proceedings is a highly strung, pulsating bassline that buzzes along, dotted with acidical noises and dissolving hi-hats.

Title track Another Life rings in via an undulating synth line, setting in motion a highly mesmerising array of rolling elements that conjure distant, cavernous frequencies. True to its name, the overall setting of the track evokes otherworldly soundscapes as the groove seems to orbit around alien-reminiscing dubs.

On the remix, Metodi Hristov slows down the pace, but keeps up the winding getalong. Metallic synths riff off towards a highly anticipated peak point, following a wavy path streamlined with erratic, ear-piercing synth bites.

All in all, an unhinged four-tracker where the artists’ experimentation makes it great for late-night antics.

Now back on Dubfire’s imprint, it’s yet another late night crusade into the unknown. ‘Skin Deep’ sets the scene
with a soaring hook that rises and rises relentlessly, constantly mutating to create an ultimately psychedelic
effect. A classic gear-shifter; energy and intensity levels are guaranteed to raise several levels when you drop
this.
‘The Interview’ flips Rob’s sonic coin for a much creepier saga. After the smouldering, tripped-out intro, we’re hit
with a mutant acid arpeggio that stalks amid a heavily stretched humanoid texture before melting into a
breakdown of mind-melting proportions. True dark room dynamite.
Two more critical constructions from a consistently on-point man who’s fast-becoming a regular on the
SCI+TEC rollcall. Who knows how many other discographies or playlists he’ll dent before he returns again?
