Since 1996, Drumcode has grown to become an institution in the global techno scene, encompassing a radio program, an event series, and a home for the musical vision of its artists and founder, Adam Beyer. “15 Years of Drumcode” celebrates this landmark by focusing on the present.

There are no throwbacks, rehashings, or remixes of the label‘s back catalogue. Instead, the 28-track compilation showcases the newest work of Drumcode‘s current roster alongside fresh material from some well known names from the labels history and special contributions from some of techno's undisputed heavyweights.

We're honouring another legend on board this month. It's the artist that made 'A Thousand Nights', 'Nightcolors' and so many other recognisable anthems and whether it's Time Warp or Studio 80, he'll rock the hell out of it. This month's SEKOIA Podcast is by Gregor Tresher. 

His sets often differ from his productions, that tend to be a bit more on the deeper side. Playing mostly prime time spots at his gigs, that doesn't really come as a surprise. But for this podcast, we asked Gregor to take a step back and go deep. You can read more about this difference between producing and playing in the interview printed in DJ Mag, released today. "Here's my mix for the SEKOIA podcast series including some of my current favorite tracks and also a couple of gems that you might not have heard for some time. I tried to create a little rise and fall as I would do in a club-set, but kept it on a more deep and moody level this time - to make it enjoyable for a nighttime car-ride or listening on headphones. Finally revealed during BBC Radio 1’s broadcast of Alan’s set from Hideout Festival, ‘We Do What We Want’ is a euphoric slice of summer rave that’s already showing signs of being Fitzpatrick's biggest track to date.

This September, Christian Smith will release his next full artist album titled ‘Input-Output’ consisting of 11 original productions once again displaying his prominence within the realms of underground music. Each track embodies Christian’s message of creating authentic techno, with powerful percussion and melodic basslines echoing out throughout the entirety of the album.

People go mad ;) I used the same “Shepard Tone” (rising sound) plug-in that I used in my track “Total Departure” which came out on Drumcode in 2008 and added yet another crazy siren sound on top of it.
