Gabriel Le Mar, George DIN and Markie J meet in the house of Dub and start out experimenting in a new open project.
The musicians believe in creativity, pushing each other to find their best ideas in their project Dublocation.

It´s about making good tunes together, having fun and moving people.

The basic idea was to have strong tracks with enough voice, that can tell a story with a deep understanding to create something substantial. Feeling poetry as an essence and developing into something more meaningful.

Jumping about all these things, a dynamic Making Waves set is born, focussing on Dubtech music with an energetic flow up to deep Techhouse with a positive feel. The dub-feeling is clearly the inspiration behind the Dublocation sound.

"Dubwize" offers 8 new tracks which are tailored for the dub inspired clubber, combining different playful approaches of Dub with the functionality and stringency of techhouse music, without sounding like another Basic Channel epigone, but rather to focus on an own approach with different methods and results. 

Precisely this means that the length of an album context is used to tell a story: agile tracks like the opening "Dubster" mixes and the more minimal pounding "Love Dub" alternate with spheric minimal groovers like 
"Seasonal Dub" and "Time For Everything". Bridges are built by more minimal functional grooves like "Minitex".

We're very pleased to present to you our latest exclusive premiere, which comes courtesy of British producer Tim Green. His new EP is being released by Canadian label My Favorite Robot and "Seti" is one of the tracks on that release. 

"Seti" is built on a strong bassline, with lush female vocals drifting in and out of the background, echoing over the bassline while woodblock percussion supports the whole shebang. It's a real beauty this one!

This tune was played in 2011 exclusively by Ben Sims, Dave Clarke, Luke Slater and me on various festivals and events around. Consider this track the comeback of peaktime techno music with machine funk, and nice synth leads, that one once knew from the good old Detroit and Chicago stuff.

This track will be released this year 2012 on Theory Recordings UK from Ben Sims.

For the next installment in the DC Ltd series, Drumcode present a three-track EP from the Spanish pairing of Psyk and Alberto Pascual; both increasingly familiar names on the circuit thanks to their work for Plus 8, Figure, AnalyticTrail and Sleeze. ‘Ascent’ leads off the EP with what is sure to prove to be a popular combination of upbeat old-school keys and resolute marching beats. ‘Descent’ switches things up, treading heavily through a melancholic soundscape of mechanical stabs and harmonic pads. Barely into their twenties, Clouds have rapidly evolved from world-class stadium-wrecking maximalists to serious talents featured in sets by techno heavyweights like Richie Hawtin, Chris Liebing, and Marcel Dettman. Their latest EP finds the Scottish duo absorbing the modern UK dance landscape, showing off their exponentially expanding range and proving they can produce bombs for the biggest rooms in virtually any setting. 

For the remix, we turned to fellow United Kingdomer Truss, who has produced killer techno both as half of Donor/Truss (we're not entirely sure which), and as a solo artist, earning support and hot chart-love from the likes of Perc, Silent Servant, and Tommy Four Seven.
