London-based artist Jonny cade has already enjoyed solid recognition for his releases on the likes of 2020 Vision and Morris Audio. This time round, he raises his game once again for Music Is Love’s 10th release, dishing up a serious dose of house goodness aimed squarely at the dance floor.

Get On My kicks off proceedings with hurrying drums that shuffle over a rumbling bassline until 90s inflicted keys quicken and build the tempo over the course of the track. The ticking hi-hats, snares and hand claps are woven intricately over the shifting key stabs, while a faint female vocal teases and whirls throughout.

Confused Keys slows the tempo slightly, with a more defined bassline paving out against the groove laden percussion sequences and distorted vocal sample. Elasticated keys ricochet off each other until a melodic interchange of pads submerse at the break, slicing the elements of the beat and taking it closer to peak-time.

Nottingham's Nail adds resounding deepness with his mix of Get On My. Shuddering key pads flourish to form the fore of the track, bouncing off the percussive loops that rhythmically swing out over faint synths to add a true deep breadth to his remix .

Give it All Up finishes off the 4 track EP the way it started: swift pace, swaggering 90’s inspired house. A flurry of claps and snares are matched by groove-heavy drums and a vocal sample that upends the overall hands-in-the-air mood of the EP. Fomenting his own melodic sound that is part house, part garage, Cades material is coherently woven together, without ever being cast free from an underlying rhythmic house groove throughout.

Storming his way back onto Drumcode Luigi Madonna closes off the Summer with a four track smasher that will see him welcome in Autumn with a bang. Each track contains the solid, raw drums that are the backbone to each track Luigi has conjured up. With a brooding undertone, the simplicity found in each track gives the lead lines and ideas more space to breath, which overall creates a unique and charismatic submission that can only be found from the Italian.

Dubfire, Coyu, Julian Jeweil, Luigi Madonna have each incorporated the same feeling that Joseph laid out in his original productions, but have added a unique twist that breathes a new lease of life into the tracks.

Mark Reeve presents his second release on Drumcode, ‘Run Back’, a four track EP crammed with heavy hitting kick drums and his signature big basslines. The dark sounds and heavy textures are typical of Reeve and he’s showing no sign of slowing down yet. Four tracks of brooding techno, this EP is one not to be missed.

Sidney Charles is back on Truesoul with 3 outstanding club tracks. Perfectly crafted to keep the dance floor moving, each track gleams with energy. Incorporating tough rolling drums as the back bone to each track, the melodic ‘Black Sun’, the vocal hooks of ‘I Need You’ and the eerie synth of ‘Just Don’t Stop’ pull together to make an essential 3 tracker.

Next up on the gold standard tech house imprint that is Roush, comes label boss himself, Hector Couto. On the Parental Advisory EP, the influential Spaniard has readied four cuts of to-the-point club music that cannot fail to make its mark. 

Hector is one of the most respected artists around with a truly global allure for his brand of house music. He has released on labels such as Defected, Moon Harbour, Hot Creations and Get Physical and is no stranger to the finest DJ booths in the world, from Ministry of Sound to Amnesia Ibiza. As such any new music from him warrants deserved excitement. 

Proving that once more is excellent opener 'Like This,' a wobbly tech house tune that is full of electronic funk. It has great vocals, swollen bass and siren like synths that really get under your skin and demand you dance. Title track 'Parental Advisory' is a real party starter with wild vocals and jittery drums. Off kilter synth stabs and fat bass all make it a hugely fun and characterful tune that is sure to stand out in any set. 

Moving on to the essential 'Old Roots', this one comes laden with retro breakbeats and a dusty sense of groove. Air horns and crisp hi hats all get stitched into the loopy groove and pull you deeper and deeper in with each rotation. Lastly, 'Bubble Gum' comes with a snaking bassline that is tough and rugged. Classic 909 pops and clicks pepper the groove, as do plenty of sweet vocal samples and the result is one hell of a tech tune that sounds like little else. 

This is another masterclass in effective, emotive dance music and marks another fine release for both label and artist. The vinyl elease will be accompanied by a digital version featuring an exclusive remix from Santé.

Pablo Inzunza, is a young Chilean DJ & Producer, and is owner of the two Chilean labels Tempura Records and Aires Music. He has released music on 8 BIT, Deeperfect, Go Deeva and Monique Speciale, and has gained DJ support from Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano, Richie Hawtin,Marco Carola, Steve Lawler and Laurent Garnier.

Blinded is a dubby techno gem, plenty of pace and energy, as its percussion paves the way for some solid dance floor action. Bleeps and tones add depth as we subtly build as this gem swaggers along with an air of a a timeless feel about it.

Swedish techno fave Par Hammar delivers not one, but two remixes. Having released music on such esteemed labels as AVOTRE and Danse Club, he was the ideal remixer for this release. Lets start with his Wednesday Dubb Remix. Rollin beats, and utilising the dubbiness from the original, this tasty touch up oozes of class, and is an intelligent rework for the cooler dance floors.

Par Hammars Saturday Dubb Remix is a punchier workout, taking the energy levels up, boosting the bassline and creating lots of space for the track to develop in your own mind. Dubbiness with attitude. 

The second Original from Pablo is Drumatic. This is a tougher and druggier gem, moody and layered with lots of low end and a subtle acid line that sounds along with this deep techno banger. 

And rounding things off nicely on this package, is Clio, who's productions for Drumcode, Truesoul, Electric Ballroom and Snatch! have been thrusting this Berlin based producer to the top of his game. Retaining the moodiness of the original, but altering the vibe with solid beats and drawn out effects that create tension and adds a shoulder swaying jackin' edge to proceedings.

Hot on the heels of the A-Sides Volume 5 compilation, Enrico Sangiuliano makes his return to Drumcode with his highly anticipated EP ‘Moon Rocks’. The heavy hitting four track EP shines a light on Sangiuliano’s tight, thundering production skills. The hoover heavy lead track ‘Moon Rocks’ is packed with booming percussion, intricate synths and brooding crescendos. 2017’s first Drumcode release comes in the form of chart topping regular Julian Jeweil, who’ll be putting out his first solo effort on the label. Jeweil’s ‘Rolling EP’ showcases his skill as a producer and kicks off with the emphatic title track ‘Rolling’. The perfect soundtrack for the early hours in the club, this sweaty affair proves just why he’s at the top of the game right now. ‘Venice’ and ‘Blue’ illustrate his signature sound to a tee, with the EP’s final track ‘Traffic’ an acid-tinged behemoth, guaranteed to light up any set.
