Toolroom’s popular club imprint is back with a label debut from rising Toolroom Academy star Fletcher Kerr who lands with a club heavy EP – ‘Don’t Need No Man’. The 23-year-old DJ & producer from Scotland had only started making music 18 months ago, when Fletcher Kerr enrolled in the Toolroom Academy’s Production Certificate course and later, the more advanced Masterclass course. And after receiving A&R feedback from the Toolroom team and Academy tutor Ben Keen (Tuff London), led to a straight up signing to Toolroom Trax.

With a debut release set to shake up the club in no time, Fletcher Kerr drops two cuts of Trax goodness with Tech House stomper ‘Don’t Need No Man’ and the more Tribal House inspired ‘Last 4 Eva’. 2022 is definitely set to be Fletcher Kerr’s year, having recently released on Toolroom’s ‘Leaders Of The New School 2022’ album and with more signings to Toolroom Trax and Untidy records to come, expect to hear more club weapons from the rising DJ & producer.

Kaiserdisco return to Drumcode for their first offering since 2016, with a stellar hook-driven slice of techno inspired by a classic house record. ‘Together One Time’ fizzes and rolls, building up pace throughout, while the stirring vocal sets it up perfectly for peak-time impact. An essential weapon as we move into the spring raving season.

„Techno Poem“ opens up the ep. It comes with a bubbling driving baseline and circulated hi hat elements which are creating a full body shake within the track. The beat structure starting with hypnotic pads which leads you into the crispy arpeggio sawtooth lead theme. Deep Male Vocals in a poetic art moves the track not even physically but also into mental experience.

„Dance With Demons“ starts with stomping heavy drums and a rolling low end. The whole is supported by distorted percussion and ruthless mini-breaks. Dark self recorded female low pitch vocals with different style of programming giving the listener the clear order to obey the dance floor. In contrast to the rough environment the epic pads and a beautiful sensitive melodie give the track an ambivalent feeling.

„Pushing On“ combines classic house with new school techno while adding also an extra portion sexiness. The catchy vocal deeply reflects its housy origin. The dna of the track is besides the vocal its groove programmed claps and the dark house chords. Within the track the listener will be surprised by breaks with guitar distortion pitch effects which will be followed by an explosive energy. (Patrik Berg)

The release kicks off with 'Can't Stop'; a stone-cold dancefloor destroyer with it's seismic kickdrum, swirling vocal loops and percussive synth hook. Backing it up is 'Control', a slightly deeper take on Stiv's sound, powered by a huge offbeat bass and topped with cool, proggy chords.
