Slam’s new three track single flawlessly encaptures the modern Drumcode sound. Movement trundles forward with snare rolls and funky percussion. The synth line keeps the funky groove rolling along until the snare roll break where it then crescendos effortlessly back into the track. The Realms synth line weaves in and out of the beat, filtering up and down to create intensity before unleashing itself into aural pleasure. Irrational Numbers takes an unusual rhythmic synth pattern and creates a groove that will make the dance floor shuffle.  Layered with pads, the track uses depth to create a distinctive character.

Drumcode returns with its 6th installment of the internationally celebrated A-Sides series. Renowned for fostering a shared space between industry tastemakers and rising talent alike, the careful curation that goes into each volume is a fine example of why Beyer’s brand continues to go from strength to strength.

Techno titan Adam Beyer has grown Drumcode into a force to be reckoned with; the label has become synonymous with forward-thinking, functional techno and even after 20 years, Drumcode continues to find new boundaries to push, and ways to solidify its legacy as the world’s number one techno label.

2017 is no exception, with Beyer’s imprint hosting it’s first stage at Tomorrowland, not to mention the expansion of the critically acclaimed Junction 2 where the Drumcode stage is the centrepiece and Adam plays the key role of festival director. The Drumcode phenomenon continues to grow each week, chiefly fuelled by Drumcode Radio, Adam’s radio show that’s broadcast in 57 countries via 86 stations and to a global audience of 16 million techno fans per week.

The A-Sides series acts as a perfect vignette of Drumcode’s cutting-edge sound; functional yet inspired techno, all tracks tried and tested by Beyer himself. Vol. 6 continues this tradition with a collection of 16 multi-faceted cuts from a mixture of both emerging artists and experienced label friends.

ANT039 - Roberto Capuano - Free Roberto Capuano confirms his superb skills as producer, making another great release for Analytic Trail. After the incredible success of Melting Process EP, label boss Markantonio takes the hands on what will be a superlative work and Roberto Capuano got the keys again for the stargate of Techno galaxy. "Free" is an EP made by 3 tracks, first is the omonimus. It's made by a straight bassline, heavy hi hats and shakers, and the vocal sample takes the rhythm very high on the endless synth in background, Techno war is coming. The spaceship is ready to go in the Oblivion of the darkness, a galactic bassline rides on the kick very fast and hi hats are the kinetic force moving everything on and on. The real engine is the ancestral synth that falls on the track as a glorious victory anthem, the imperial vessels are ready for the Techno interstellar conflict. Fight is ending, earth is obscured by a terrifying Eclipse a powerful kick is pushing on the cosmic bassline in perfect collision with the shakers and hi hats. No way to survive, the sharp synth is rising to explode on the crowd to reach the soul of each Techno soldier that lives inside of all. Is finally done the connection between parallel worlds and Roberto Capuano is a gorgeous Techno commander of course. But as always, Analytic Trail is the right platform to bring out astral music.

Drumcode mark their landmark 100th release with a two-track EP that comes directly from the heart of the label’s operation. Just as with the label’s first release sixteen years ago, Adam Beyer positions himself at the controls, unleashing the shimmering ‘The Color Out Of Space’ with its euphoric melody riding on the back of nagging chords and booming kick. A product of Beyer’s studio collaboration with Ida Engberg, ‘Lovecraft’ takes its place on the b-side, cutting a trippy journey through distinctive chord patterns and undulating melodies that bounce around in the mix, underpinned by a heads-down groove.

Without doubt one of the names of 2012 and a regular name amongst the listings for Adam Beyer’s Drumcode Radio show; Mark Reeve makes a debut on Drumcode with his Drumatic EP. Comprising four tracks, the release brings a familiar heavy-weight percussive sound to Drumcode, starting with The Beat and its marching rhythm powered along by a distinctive growling stab; before moving on to Drumatic with its snare-loop driven wall of sound; and on to Industrial, which comes in two versions – the original with a thumping kick and old-school pads and the Tool Mix which strips the track back to a rolling groove punctuated with an array of sonically interesting details and effects.
