Reset Robot returns with another exquisite Truesoul offering, led by the timeless vocal composition ‘I Wish You’d Never’.

Digging deeper into his sonic repertoire during lockdown, the producer (aka Dave Roberston) crafts a thoughtful EP brimming with shimmering ambient tones and textures.

‘I Wish You’d Never’ reinforces his superior production skills, led by the mammoth title track. A strong lead vocal rubs shoulders with lustrous synth swirls, lilting pads and crisp percussion, before a brooding bassline comes into focus and hits with a deliciously menacing punch. ‘Time Loop’ is a piercing acid trance cut that begs to be rinsed. ‘Fluid’ originally begun as ambient electronica work, but evolved into a tougher composition through the course of the studio session: “out of curiosity I added some drums and a more aggressive bass synth and it came together,” Robertson says of the grandiose, pad-laden work. A classy dub of ‘I Wish You’d Never’ rounds out the package.

In the words of BEC: Focus, let go f the words that control your mind. You’ll find, freedom.

BEC is back on her own imprint with a unique twist to her new EP 'Freedom'. Release 005 not only comes with three in-depth techno cuts but also dives into the correlation between the mind and freedom. With these three tracks, for the first time, BEC officially launches herself into the NFT realm. 

Each track will be released with only one exclusive NFT via Opensea (minting Fri 25th Feb / link to come), dropping on the release date of March 25th. 

BEC explores what the meaning of what Freedom actually entails. The lyrics in the title track give a first direction of how the mind is strongly intertwined with our ability to either be free, or restrained by our thoughts. Rhythmic drums, industrial textures and walls of white noise bring real tension to “Freedom”, as the hypnotic acapella speaks for itself; carrying such a strong concept to the track, aiming to motivate listeners to be more free of their thoughts. 

“Observation” is next and encourages us to be the observer of our thoughts, without getting absorbed by them and getting into a cycle of negativity – hence the name of the closing track of the EP “Mind Cycle”; “Observation” consists of pummeling drums, turbo-charged rave stabs and waves of euphoric simmering textures. “Mind Cycle” has a fierce groove and mesmerizing looping synth which takes listeners on a cyclic journey.

Combining all tracks together, the concept is explained in one single dialogue: “Freedom” is the “Observation” of the “Mind Cycle”.

DJ Jock is back again on Unrilis for his second solo EP on the imprint called 'Urania' EP.

At the age of 17, DJ Jock from Croatia held down a residency at Pineta Beach Bar. Started warming up for the biggest DJs, he perfected his craft, and got first-hand experience of what made tracks work on the dance floor.

Not only his skills as a DJ which managed to get the attention but also his production skills with a fine-tuned ear for picking out what makes the perfect techno track, his own productions are in hot demand as you can't attend a party without hearing a single DJ Jock track, he has a very rich catalog that succeeded to build over 12 years in the techno scene, many tracks on the likes of Respekt Recordings, Suara, Intec, 1605 and Phobiq. Always gets support from Adam Beyer, Alan Fitzpatrick, Joseph Capriati, Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin and many others.

DJ Jock: 'As always, it was a process of me going to studio and experiment with my gear until I have something. I made Urania like year ago, and the name came when I was watching documentary about Space, where they mention large asteroid 'Urania', named by the Greek muse of astronomy. Lonely Satellite was made one morning when I was playing with my Virus Synth, I was just recording sounds, didn't have an idea where to go with them. Then I found that vocal sample and added the drums and bassline. I was playing a lot these tracks last summer and I was really happy with reaction from crowd'.

Paride Saraceni’s debut Truesoul release, ‘Burning’, brings us three uplifting and vocal-heavy tech house tracks. A steady groove throughout, Saraceni’s choice of instrumentation and flowing percussion create a melodic yet techy release with all three tracks laced with a solid kick drum, tinkering high hats and sporadic vocals. ‘Burning’ is is the perfect offering for the new year and proves there are big things on the horizon for Saraceni.

Following the exhilarating ‘Baby’ on Drumcode, Tiger Stripes returns to Truesoul with a pair of retro-inspired house cuts. 

The Swede has one of the deepest discographies in house and techno, marked by an ear for deep grooves, dynamic arrangements and cleverly utilised vocals. In a career spanning 15 years, those-in-the-know won’t argue: he’s one of the industry’s most dependable and creative talents. 

His last outing on Truesoul was the inspiring cross-genera collaboration ‘Sound of The Bettest’
with Riva Starr. A year on, his return ‘Sneaking Hotdogs into People’s Pockets’ likewise revels in scribbling outside the lines. The title comes from a segment on the popular Youtube Channel Vlog Creations and the track similarly fizzes with the same sense of fun. Tiger Stripes says he wanted to create a cut influenced by his “guilty pleasure” of ‘90s influenced dance pop music, while crafting a work that stays true to his production style, imbued with plenty of depth, groove and soul. The resulting vocal-driven track does this with deft spirit. ‘Guidelines’ is similarly a trip down memory lane. Named after the club night he used to run in Stockholm, he extracts influenced from his home country’s fertile scene in the early 2000s, where disco-influenced house and techno ruled the roost.

Anfisa Letyago is a rising star of the Italian techno scene having on numerous occasions had tracks break into Beatports Top 100 sales chart. Born in the Siberian region of Russia, she has adopted Naples as her home, and become a regular DJ at many of the local events.

This is Anfisa Letyagos first release on Intec, but other imprints to have featured her music include an eclectic selection of labels ranging from Spinnin to Nervous. Still at a young age, she has already played at a number of festivals, and Carl Cox signed this release after already supporting many of her other tracks in his sets.

The opening track So Good breathes fresh life into a classic sample that gives the track an old school vibe. Added with just a hint of euphoria from the fluttering lead synth, this slice of peak time techno has a feel good mood whilst still packing a serious punch.

Keeping the good times vibe alive Catch The Spirit also makes use of a timeless sample fused with emotive synths and hard hitting percussion. Capturing the end of the night vibe, this track fully embraces the spirit of how a DJs set can unite a group of strangers on a dance floor.

Rebūke joins the Drumcode family with a blistering three-track EP.

We got our first taste of the Irishman’s exhilarating talents when he debuted on Truesoul back in April with ’50 First Raves’. His unique alchemy of house, techno and rave has seen him become one of the breakout stars of 2019 and ensured he’s stayed firmly on the radar of Adam Beyer.

Inspired by his experiences at Drumcode’s now-legendary party at Space Miami during WMC, Rebūke’s DC debut encompasses all the dynamic energy of his previous contributions, with peak-time pounding effect. ‘Rattle’ leads the trio, a cut voraciously track I.D’d by Rebūke’s fanbase and highly anticipated across the industry after a high-impact play during Radio 1’s Weekender in Ibiza. The track pops with the producer’s trademark rubbery rhythms, pin-sharp drums, intermittent rave horns and a wicked acid line, culminating in a high-octane trip that’s one of the most thrilling we’ve heard on DC this year. ‘Operator’ spits fierce drum sequences before a tweaked-out bass melody grows with undulating intensity giving the track it’s shining character. ‘Metal’ builds with intergalactic stabs and claps before a menacing low-end melody enters the fore and his signature percussion gives the track an otherworldly tribal crunch.

Layton Giordani crafts his most accomplished work to date with ‘New Generation’, his second album on Drumcode. 
 
Since 2017’s critically acclaimed debut album ‘Where It Begins’, the New Yorker has entrenched himself as one of the label’s most vital artists and leader of techno’s new school brigade. At just 27, he’s collaborated with Adam Beyer and Green Velvet on multiple occasions, linked with the legendary Danny Tenaglia for the now-classic ‘Live Again’ and played everywhere from Awakenings, Melt! Festival and Warehouse Project. He’s also lived the Transatlantic life more than most, splitting his time between the Big Apple and Amsterdam, absorbing influences from across the electronic spectrum.  
 
It’s these experiences that inform ‘New Generation’, a masterclass of techno futurism and glistening example of Giordani’s ever-developing talents as a producer. Opening with the shimmering soundscapes of ‘Shinjuku’, a beatless two-and-a-half-minute mood setter, the album swings between timeless multi-faceted dancefloor weapons, and more lilting, ambient techno cuts rips for the golden hour. 
 
Already a favourite of the Drumcode faithful, the album’s title track hits with a swarm of synapsesearing synths that saw it go down a treat at Awakenings Festival, Tomorrowland and Gashouder in the second half of 2019. ‘System Majority’ balances atmosphere and propulsive rhythms on a knife’s edge and featured in Beyer’s DCR 515 radio show. Giordani reunites with the legendary Green Velvet for ‘Life Lesson’, a pulsating roller, which notably features the young New Yorker’s hypnotic vocals on loop. Teaming with friend and fellow East Coaster Avision, ‘Power’ is punchy techno at its finest, driven by energetic stabs and a stirring vocal from Chicago journeyman Cevin Fisher. After playing b2b a string of times, Layton links with good friend Bart Skils for a maiden collaborative track. Driven by a strong melodic lead, ‘Midnight Magic’ typified the moment when the duo played it at Drumcode’s Awakenings event during ADE last year. ‘Feel A Vibe’ is an album highlight centered around plump bass, reverb-heavy sonics, distorted bleeps and a spoken word vocal, which begs for a peak-time rinse. 
 
Elsewhere Giordani demonstrates his breadth with cuts such as ‘Nirvana X’, a lush breakbeat-laden cut; the laser-kissed ‘Translation Lost’, where his musicality is in full view and the progressive-tinged 
‘Memory Fragment’, which reinforces the expansive Drumcode sound palette. The beautiful ‘Human Error’ closes out the work, as muffled horns, delicate keys and sparse bed of percussion unify for a momentous finale.
