Sam’s EP boot’s off with ‘Chocolate’, a track that builds and builds using detuned synths, stabs and funky drums to make any dance floor erupt. ‘Domino’ is a track that’s bassline drones underneath its own distinctive synth line to keep the drums rolling along steadily. The title track ‘Black Leather’ is everything you would expect in a Drumcode record; a subtle throbbing bass line which, keeps the track moving before the synth stabs enrapture the track and twist it into a dark, throbbing composition. The final track ‘Daegon’ uses dubbed out drums to incorporate a synth melody line that will blow your socks off and rounds off this well shaped EP.

When offered this remix i thought, ok the original was big, the hot since 82 remix was huge and is talked about by people as the best remix of the last couple of years, so basically taking on this remix was always gonna be a bit of a challenge, but i like a challenge and took it on, 

i decided to make a groovy version with some acid 303's instead and have a bit of acid going on, so that my version is completely different from all the other versions out there.

The label love it anyway, here is a 2 mins clip, i will find out the exact release date and post it up, this is not gonne be for everyone, as you either love acid 303's in a track or you dont, i personally do.. :) ACIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEED!!

Release consist of two tracks, first one is called “Nimene” and has a killer breath-like groove, dark with a rolling old-school vocal sample to complete the idea and following after that is “Peak District” which is an ultimate dance floor heavy tool add to that some organic chords, gated vocals and to conclude a tribal like rhythm that takes place after the breakdown. British producer wAFF has been making waves in recent years, reflecting on a diligent 2015 spent playing across the likes of Europe, Africa, Asia and the States, when not making routine appearances at Paradise, Ibiza. As a producer he’s dropped several lauded releases on Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations imprint, not to mention Matthias Tanzmann’s Moon Harbour and Sven Väth’s Cocoon, with his next outing landing on renowned Swedish label Drumcode run by techno titan Adam Beyer.

Laying down hard hitting kicks from the off, ‘Holographic’ churns out an undulating synth combined with shuffling hats and a cavernous low-end, before ‘VibrationZ’ employs a low-slung groove fashioned from a sultry bassline, floating chords and sinister vocal. Tying it together, ‘Syncronistic’ is on a more heads down tip with whirring atmospherics, crunchy snares and subtle 303 squelches for a lengthy and mesmerising piece of production.
