<p>The second instalment of Eric Sneo&#8217;s Re-Transmit series has landed and Boris gets his hands on &#8220;Slave To The Beat&#8221;, where he mangles the trademarked vocal even more. Cavernous effects bring us up to date, the shuffling rhythm section grinds away and some of the industrial overtones of the past are kept alive. On the 2014 edit, we get the vocals in full force, while much of the menace of the original is kept intact as the sub-bass gallops under the hats and rides.<br />
 Sasha Carassi&#8217;s version of &#8220;Dance La Famila&#8221; steamrolls through the night with its tough groove and mechanized percussion, letting dark stabs and a bubbling bassline all come together for a streamlined, nocturnal journey.</p>

Drumcode’s youngest rising star, Layton Giordani, exploded on to the scene after his debut album “Where It Begins” back in February, after scoring some of the biggest festivals in Europe this summer, he now returns with an exciting collab titled “Live Again”.

NY born and bred, Danny Tenaglia has always been a true inspiration for Layton since his teenage years, so when the opportunity to collaborate with the fellow NY legend was on the cards, it was a dream come true.

Danny and Layton join forces for the lead track ‘Live Again’. Its deep and dark with a slowly building pad wrapping around a modulating synthetic hook. The dark and effected vocal echo takes the track into a hypnotic vibe.

‘Take It Back’ delivers a pumping drive the moment it fires up. Snapping percussive force and an infectious rhythmic groove will unhinge dance floors nationwide, whilst ‘Secrets of Vibration’ has a rattling, yet blistering low end presence to it.

Tamango Records is an Italian imprint, with its name inspired by the legend of Tamango, the first African slave who fought for freedom.

Its fourth release is coming directly from London, produced by FUSE resident Rich NxT, and will be out on 30th of April 2018.

Rich’s last outing for the influential imprint was large by any standards, spreading far beyond the FUSE dancefloors finding support from many places. Led by EP track ‘Serious’, which was heralded as one of the tunes of 2018 by Mixmag in their mid-year review, it got love from Seth Troxler and the Martinez Brothers at Circoloco, alongside heavy rinsing of ‘Brigade’ and ‘Eight’ by all the FUSE residents.
 
The ‘Hard To Be’ EP comes as another on-point three-track work from Rich that channels the same versatile spirit. ‘Wah’ is an uplifting slice of original house, mirroring the accessibility and fun of ‘Serious’ with a catchy riff that runs throughout. The track created an enormous buzz on the IOM group with hundreds of comments and I.D requests pouring in throughout the year, and soundtracked parties everywhere from Fuse’s raves at Studio 338 terrace in London, Sonus Festival and The Martinez Brother’s Cuttin’ Headz at ADE. ‘Interrobang’ is head-nodding brilliance as twisted bass and sampled attitude characterise the seven-minute peak time banger. ‘On The Rocks’ rounds out the EP as punchy kicks and buttery smooth bass mark this work of grooving minimalism, echoing the spirit of Fuse029’s ‘Eight’.
 
And so closes the chapter of this impressive body of work. In the process it’s proved what we already knew all along; his knack for providing fail-safe dancefloor ammunition for the Fuse faithful and beyond, remains as strong as ever.

Time for the next instalment of our wax releases, DJ W!LD brings his Trans Europe Express to Roushlabel and it will be only the third release to feature a vinyl option as well as digital. The EP comes with three original tracks and remix from none other than Hanfry Martinez. ‘Trans Europe Express’ has a driven, locomotive feel to it. Rattling hats, punchy kick drums and a bright bassline team up with hints of acid and yet more creative, analogue sampling within the breaks. Another massively exclusive creation from DJ W!LD, showcasing his ability to put the ‘art’ back into ‘artist’. ‘Half Way’ opens the release with an unexpected hint of rainy-day, coffee shop Jazz. The creative underbelly of the track is a culmination of long strings, emotive keys, Vinyl crackle and a cleverly cut vocal sample from an interview with Mobb Deep. Beyond that, the track exhibits pumping drum patterns, a subtle yet groovy sub and progressive layers of percussion as the record advances. A unique and truly special piece of music. Next up, ‘Peecome’ brings an 80’s-inspired vibe. The sentimental sounds of Roland’s original TR-808 and reminiscent sampling are laced with a powerful 4x4 beat in places and deconstructed for more of a swung rhythm in others. Carrying on the trend of the undeniably talented thought process when it comes to the arrangement and offering something truly different, capable of really turning some heads and pleasing the purists. Lastly, Hanfry Martinez’s remix of ‘Trans Europe Express’ takes a deep dive into the rapidly growing realm of underground deep/minimal house. Dreamy pads pierce through a rough and ready combo of thudding kicks, arpeggiated synth lines, vocal cuts and of course a gritty, attitude-laden sub bass factor.
