Alex Koi is a vocalist, composer/producer, and improvising musician. Her music is the mystical translation between the privacy of her inner world and the somatic extrication of such. Through polyphonic narrative, ecstatic release, and coy murmurs, she bends between her diverse musical influences in Jazz and improvised music, the avant-garde, rock, and electronic music. She has had the privilege of collaborating with musicians, composers, visual artists, directors and dancers at venues such as Lincoln Center, the Guggenheim Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Joe's Pub, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, MassMoca, The Oculus, Toronto Downtown Jazz Festival, Public Records, and more. She recently played the combined role of Tracy Dunn/Jillian Gilchrist in the Off-Broadway production of "Octavia E. Butler's Parable of the Sower", Toshi Reagon's theatrical adaptation of the beloved novel. 

Centering the emotionality of the human experience, she creates an explosive sound that has been called “impossibly stunning” [Stereo Stickman], “primal and futuristic at the same time” [Current Magazine] and that “bends between operatic and punk rock” [Audiofemme]. Her former, long-term Detroit-based band project Saajtak, has been called “one of the most intriguing and unclassifiable bands in the country right now" [Tone Madison]. Saajtak has released five independently-released EPs and one LP via Chicago’s American Dreams record label.

ABOUT D2D
Established in 2010, the indie group Dare 2 Dream (D2D) is fronted by lead artist/songwriter Kenny McNeil (K Mac) & producer/engineer Matthew Shell (MTS). K Mac’s music was featured in a BMW commercial & MTS was recently featured by GRAMMY.com. D2D's album "What's Your Dream?" features artists from around the world. The newest D2D single & accompanying music video "We'll Find A Way" were recently re-released with new bonus tracks.  "We'll Find A Way" is beginning to gain exposure & radio-play across the US. However, D2D is still on the precipice of a big break & appreciative to their loyal & growing fan-base.

ABOUT K MAC
Kenny McNeil (aka K Mac) is a music veteran from a small town in Virginia who has been involved in multiple projects over the years. His recent 2012 collaboration with producer Amir Marcus on the single "Die With You" is getting support from DJ's in his current city of Las Vegas as well as overseas. Kenny has written for Rob Mercer on his hit single "Amazingly" and has also written for Free from BET's 106 & Park. Kenny showed versatility and passion in his 2010 collaborative and genre bending album release "What's Your Dream?” with his group D2D (Dare 2 Dream) with Matthew Shell (MTS). Kenny's music was featured in a 2007 BMW commercial and also on a DJ Smallz mixtape.

ABOUT MTS
D2D's lead producer Matthew Shell (MTS) is a Washington DC based music producer & engineer, recently featured on <a href="http://www.grammy.com/news/grammycom-exclusive-first-listen-trey-eley-and-matthew-shell">GRAMMY.com</a>. He has produced artists such as Marcus Johnson, Carolyn Malachi, D2D & Paul Jackson Jr. & has engineered for O.A.R., Free, DJ Flexx, Jeff Lorber, Marcus Mitchell & Gerald Albright, among others. Most recently, MTS produced/mixed the collaborative jazz album with flautist Trey Eley titled "Freedom". In addition to Greg Adams, the album also features bassist Markus Huber, pianist Vahagn Stepanyan & vocal artist Kenny Wesley, among others. MTS' upcoming album "Victorious" will feature many of his favorite collaborators, including Kenny McNeil, Javier Starks, Danielle Withers & 2013 GRAMMY nominee Arun Shenoy.
