Earlier this year Desert Dwellers released their most diverse album in the duo's long career. The Great Mystery was the first full length collaborative project just between the main founders Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe, and featured a wide range of styles and aesthetics from downtempo and psychedelic dub to tribal trance to exotic house and techno flavors.

To celebrate the special release, Desert Dwellers have curated an ambitious two-part remix album with a total of 25 contributions from some of the brightest luminaries and rising talents across the underground electronic music landscape. The Great Mystery Remixes Part 2 is slated for a November 1st release on the DD Bandcamp page, and features sonic reinterpretations from Emancipator, Aligning Minds, Mumukshu, Sixis, David Starfire, Whitebear, Erothyme, Mystral, Master Minded, Halfred & Enzalla, Lulacruza, Bumble, Soohan, and Supersyllius. With artists from across the globe and musical genres, these carefully crafting renditions of Desert Dwellers' The Great Mystery are a potent combination of immersive soundscapes that pay a loving tribute to the original compositions.

Stars of the psychedelic world like Hedflux and Land Switcher pump thrilling bass into “Roots of the Earth”and “Fire Gathering,” respectively. Kaminanda takes “Sacred Blessing” on a more than 11-minute epic journey. Numatik ignites new life into Fire Gathering .Suduaya, Momentology, Salis, and Nanosphere run the gamut from rich, organic strings and ethereal voices to dark, brooding, and bellowing sub bass covering the spectrum from delicate, ambience to pounding grooves. For over a decade, Scott Sterling has been weaving rhythm, melody, and line as Drumspyder, exploring the Celtic and British Islands folk ways in vital contemporary expressions.

He brings a deep love of rhythm to his distinctive style of percussion-driven dance music.  An expert percussionist specializing in tamborines and framedrums, he weaves together intricate hand percussion and bass-heavy production into finely sculpted grooves, equally inspirational to the dancefloor and the on-stage performer. Drawing influences from the Folk, Medieval, and Renaissance music of the British Islands and Europe, his music is a unique alchemy of musical  traditions, energetic tribal rhythms, and archaic pagan atmosphere.

As a  visual artist, he is developing an intricate and elegant style of painting, ink drawing and vector design. He is inspired by Celtic Insular and Medieval styles, and brings them into the present age to illuminate themes of the Anglo-Saxon and Celtic spiritual traditions.
