Elemental Vol. 1 moves through earth, air, fire, and water not as metaphors but as emotional states. The songs drift like weather systems, mixing tenderness with atmosphere - acoustic guitars and field-warm vocals meeting the pulse of understated techno rhythms. The production is deliberately porous: wood and wire breathing alongside soft synths and spectral drum-machine traces. It's an "acoustic techno" album in the sense that rhythm and resonance share the same dirt. The songs carry the physical textures of wind in rafters, gravel underfoot, or rain on a roof, yet they shimmer with digital light. This meeting of folk intimacy and electronic timbres gives the album its peculiar gravity - part back-porch confession, part after-hours heartbeat.

Lyrically, Elemental Vol. 1 abandons conventional pop architecture. Instead of verse–chorus–bridge repetition, each piece unfolds as a field poem - free-form, continuous, and responsive to its own inner weather. The writing treats structure as tide rather than grid: refrains return when they need to, not when they're told to. This openness lets the language breathe in sync with the natural imagery that drives it - storms, light, stone, silence - and invites listeners to inhabit the songs as evolving spaces rather than predictable forms. Across the various mixes of its six song poems - We Learn the Sky, Don't Sightsee This Heart, Be a Storm in Me, Til the Heat Is Gone, You Happen Like Weather, and Wild Gifts - the album traces the cycles of intimacy and impermanence, finding in their motion the same quiet power that turns seasons, wheels, and hearts.

That  man Neil Diablo from Manchester's El Diablo's Social Club is back again with another storming double header of disco delights. 'To Rack & Ruin Vol. 1', sold out in a matter of days, and we're expecting similar flying-off-the-shefness here too. 'Volume 2' sees Neil serving up a couple of obscure disco diggers finds that have been tried and tested on the dancefloor at El Diablo's, and proven to have reached club-favourite status. A-side track "Party" is one of those pop-rock disco gems you expect to turn up on an "Originals" CD compilation. Recorded by South African outfit Harari, the track features a simple mid-tempo disco groove that's layered with squelchy, efx-laden bass and clavinet gurgles. Once you hit the first big synth riffs you know you're in for a treat, and then the raw, soulful, but a bit kitsch vocals arrive and we do indeed have a party on our hands. Vocoder vocal interludes? Catchy female vocal harmony? Funky cowbell percussion? Rockin' disco rhythms? Boogie synth-bass? Patrick Cowley's 1981 anthem "Get A Little" has the lot, and then some. It's the kind of track that, when you hear it in a club, made you glad you got off the sofa and went out! A guaranteed party rockin' double A - limited as hell, and twice as hot!

One could say that 2011 was Rayko’s year with his hit Broadway being recently announced as the No.1 disco track of 2011 on Juno, but we think that this is just the beginning for him with bigger things to come. Born in the Canary Islands, Rayko is a producer and DJ deeply influenced by the artists and sounds of the 70's and 80's. These influences led him to launch his own label; Rare Wiri in the summer of 2008, gaining immediate critical acclaim with it's first release making Record of the Week at Manchester's highly regarded Piccadilly Records. Rayko has an impressive portfolio of releases under his belt and has an almost insatiable thirst for editing both classics and lost gems in his distinctive and infectious style. Rayko is also an artist central to the Retrospective All Starrs project, which will feature a variety of names from the slowed down house and nu disco scene. A frequent and fluid player of the Seattle scene, aJaX can be found playing at any number of primarily underground clubs from Capitol Hill all the way to downtown. When he's not out getting busy behind a booth, his dj prowess is only second to his ability to throw some amazing nights. Whether its booking and coordinating top notch shows with his disco group "Reflect", helping produce the world renown podcast TDJS (The Dj Sessions) based out of Seattle, or playing with, booking, or opening for the likes of Donald Glaude, DJ Dan, Charles Feelgood, Hatiras, DJ Deckard, Ricardo Torres, Sander Van Doorn, Alex Harrington, Superstar Keoki, Pat Lok, Gene Farris, The Wicked Crew SF, The Space Cowboys, Worthy, Mark Starr, DJ Mes, FunkAgenda,  and many more, needless to say aJaX stays busy poisoning willing minds with his infectious sounds.
