'Jupiter' is a beautiful deep infectious voyage that starts paving the way with its quirky 5/4 timing bassline, before a wash of luscious voice-like pads evoke a dreamy and ethereal vibe. The track develops subtly and wondrously as the track intensifies. Dropping the intensity a touch down in the breakdown, and creating some calm, before slamming back in to that superb utopian groove.

'Ciklus One' is a haunting gem, with its melancholic melodic pad creating tension, before a subtle arp adds further drama. The techie percussion surrounds the dramatic soundscape that unfurls, as cool fx and a hint of darkness is cast over this sophisticated number.

Just in time for the silly season, Stil vor Talent presents The Last Trip 2 - a 10 track mini compilation that is laden with aural gifts from five international techno producers. Laying the foundation for this club-ready collection of tracks is French producer Kiko, bringing a certain je ne sais quoi with the full spectral Echoes of Light and the multifaceted Panavision. Thousand Sirens follows up with with the driving psychedelia of Kahlil, priming the dancefloor for an intrepid journey with Humanizm, a trippy, bass-heavy track interwoven with powerful, thought-inspiring vocal samples. Hot to trot VNTM commands attention with his unique riff on dark, underground techno interspersed with progressive melodies in. Echoist packs a punch, and Orange Skies delivers the roundhouse kick with its upbeat, squelchy synths. Drunken Kong raises the tempo with the expansive Uncovered, laced with exotic strings in a nod to his Asian heritage. The Eye certain to engage the dancefloor with its charismatic tones and dynamic percussion. You would be forgiven for expecting a genie to jump out of a bottle as you travel through the lush soundscapes of Heerhorsts Magic Carpet. Riding into the sunset is 1001, rounding off the compilation with its special brand of hearty, industrial darkness. So deep youll choke on it, so dark it will take your retinas a while to readjust to the light, its safe to say this is a compilation for the dirtiest of dancefloors.

Following the internationally celebrated release of their debut album The Signs Within in 2017, burgeoning Japanese techno duo Drunken Kong look to kick off a brand new decade in emphatic fashion, with the release of their eagerly-anticipated sophomore long player, Where We Start.

Out now via Christian Smith's esteemed Tronic Music imprint, Where We Start marks the second full-length opus from the Tokyo-based outfit, whose impressive catalogue of unique techno productions have also been homed by the likes of Terminal M, Octopus Recordings, Stil Vor Talent and Session Womb to name a few.

Featuring a total of sixteen diverse cuts, including thirteen brand new Drunken Kong originals, two recent collaborations with Mainz-based outfit Teenage Mutants and one exclusive new collab with Tronic head honcho Christian Smith, Where We Start is Drunken Kong's most extensive body of work to date, and goes a long way in showcasing the inexhaustible creativity of one of the most prolific double acts in techno right now. “Der Sturm Kommt” is German for the "storm is coming“, and the name of Michael Klein’s new EP could apply as equally to the artist as to his music. In the past two years especially, Klein’s career trajectory has skyrocketed thanks to the ever-increasing quality of his output. His tracks have been hand-picked for compilations by Amelie Lens and Cocoon honcho Sven Väth while his productions are supported by big-hitters including Laurent Garnier, Dubfire and of course Pan-Pot, the owners of his home-label Second State.

On his latest EP, the storm is coming quite literally in form of three high-energy bangers that help establish Klein as one of techno’s most reliable party-starters. The title track recreates the mood of an actual storm, opening with grey squall before the heavens open in a downpour of android-like vocals, high-volume distortions, a relentless kick and a build and drop sure to blow up any club it’s played in. Rather than dial it back on Wasser (meaning water), Klein keeps the heat turned right up, deploying a snarling acidic bassline recalling the best of International Deejay Gigolo Records and adding his own stamp in the form of a characterful dog-like bark. German for “when you scream”, Wenn Du Schreist is, as its name suggests, the most ominous-sounding of the lot. There’s a dark energy to the production, with spooky treated vocals and rubbery synths creating a nefarious atmosphere. Importantly though, like everything on this EP, the track still bangs.

Der Sturm Kommt is another package of high-BPM floor-scorchers from one of the hottest names on the scene today. With every release, Klein just gets harder, better, faster and stronger.

April the 24th meets brilliant Italian artist - M.I.T.A. to join CODEX Family with his Purpose EP!
Mattia Borriello, better known as M.I.T.A., born in ’90. Started his career at the age of 14. During years improved his skills in studio and decided to spend a couple of hours more working on his first tracks. Still young, he released an EP on Phobiq, neapolitan label born from techno master Sasha Carassi. From that point everything changed: in 2010 he made a remix for “Polychromatic” and, after a while, had the pleasure to have been remixed from worldwide known artists such as Audio Injection, Paul Mac and The Advent & Industryalizer just to name a few. 2014 is an awesome year: “Level Down” EP born in collaboration with techno guru The Advent, appeared on Mixmag magazine as top release of the month (December). Friendship with Cisco became stronger so they both decided to come back in studio together and the result was a 2-tracker ep released on Elevate. Pig&Dan didn’t miss the chance and asked M.I.T.A. to remix their track ‘Modular Baptism’ and after a few months released on Nicole Moudaber’s Mood Records ‘The God Particle’ EP, born in collaboration with Anna V.
2019 started in the best way possible assigning ‘Wide Angle’ EP to Coyu’s legendary label Suara and “Rotation Ep’ on Elevate.
In the end of the year, Mattia worked again with The Advent on a remix made for Audiomatiques’ track ‘Function’ which was released on Unrilis.
Works of M.I.T.A. didn’t pass unnoticed and his tracks were supported by Richie Hawtin, Paco Osuna, Slam, Pan Pot, Umek, Nicole Moudaber, Julian Jeweil, Amelie Lens, Jay Lumen, Kaiserdisco, Maya Jane Coles, Sam Paganini, Luigi Madonna, Regal, 2000 and One, Luca Agnelli, Andres Campo, Tim Xavier, Dj Emerson, Alan Fitzpatrick, Pig&Dan, Tomy DeClerque, Sian,Gary… and the list goes on :)

DRUNKEN KONG is the project of D. Singh and DJ Kyoko. In 2010, the two started their project when one day, they
suddenly decided to make a track together. Since then they have released two albums on Christian Smith's label Tronic, The Signs Within (2017) and Where We Start (2020) as well as numerous EPs and singles on labels such as Octopus Recordings, Stil Vor Talent and
Terminal M while they remain active with domestic labels such as Session WOMB. All 7 tracks of their EPs in early 2017 on Tronic and Terminal M have entered Beatport Top 100 Techno chart at the same time, which has made an impact on the Asian and global techno scene. 

Since then, their music has been constantly entering top charts. Their music is gaining a lot of attention/support from
international top artists and DJs such as Carl Cox, Adam Beyer, Christian Smith, Monika Kruse, Pan-Pot, Umek, Hernan Cattaneo and Deadmau5, just to name a few. Their release “Repeat” from Octopus Recordings have entered Beatport Techno Top 10, being supported and played by many artists around the globe.

DRUNKEN KONG has always been active in the Tokyo techno scene, playing regularly at major festivals such as Ultra Japan and in clubs such as WOMB, Ageha, Unit, Vent, Contact and Vision Tokyo. The two are constantly attracting new fans with their unique sound and groove. With their powerful DJ style and charisma, the two are able to constantly amuse the audience while expanding their ideas and skills to the next level.
