[GiB007] FLUCC - Sawblade Screams And A Butterfly’s Dream

With his debut album “Sawblade Screams And A Butterfly’s Dream” FLUCC delivers a 15 track LP of introspective alternative hard dance music. The release is a genre defying journey through the tense, yet beautiful landscape of heart soothing synths and ear piercing drums. FLUCC brings together influences from Hardcore, Drum and Bass/Jungle, Techno, Trance and Ambient Music for a manifesto of his sound that aims to resonate beyond the dance floor. 

The LP is an appeal to the experimental and unconventional side of hardcore techno. The tracks invite an open minded and empowering ethos and to challenge the often rigid and hypermasculine norms of the mainstream. They are for all the gabber fairies and dance floor goblins, from my heart to yours, to listen, to dance and to feel.

“Ich Bin Liquide” owes it’s title to the beautiful fluidity of the world around and inside of us. It is also a play of words on Liquid DnB, which inspired the skeleton of this track - although looking back I feel it turned a different direction. Also one of my favourites from the album, I wrote some lyrics for it but later decided not to include them.
