Field Records is to release a two-CD compilation and three vinyl samplers of music from the label's artists old and new entitled simply, Collection.

This second sampler pulls together three tracks of deep, dubby and ambient music from French producer duo Polar Inertia, Remote_ and Sweden's Varg. His track 'Ohns Odegard' is a serene and autumnal bit of ambient with swollen pads and incidental synths making for a soothing atmosphere. Remote_'s 'Echo Of You' is just as wide open and serene but has a warm, rubbery pulse driving it along and finally Polar Inertia gets a little frazzled and intense with their loopy slow techno roller 'Sonic Outlaws'.

For the past 10 years, MindTrip has been a strong plattform for some of the most interesting upcoming artists in the techno scene, while also offering contributions of established techno acts all over the world. Producers like Jonas Kopp, Psyk, Markus Suckut and label chief Pfirter gave his first steps on the label and now we have a chance to spread this music even wider with our monthly MindTrip Podcast.

Being no book, but telling a story Below Surface is the debut album of the same named German artist. Based in China for one year he found himself surrounded by fragments of ancient Asian cultures mixed with ultra modern societies. On expeditions throughout East Asia, Below Surface discovered ShanShui, a traditional Chinese style of painting which represents a steady and peaceful drawn image of landscape, often mountains that nonetheless provide an idea of immense restrained power. Eleven track album Below Surface is the massive outcome of elapsed time and applied potential, containing strong drums and basslines, partially paired with smoother sounds from synthesizers and field-recorders. Summed up: Unobtrusive but steady and powerful, like a mountain covered in fog.

For the next episode of our Mix Series we are privileged to host DRYAD's first ever mix! This is definitely someone to keep an ear out for the future! It has been recorded on WAV so, get it plugged into a good sound system and enjoy! It's very impressive!

The DRYAD guise is yet another techno contributor opting for anonymity.  Currently based in Adelaide Australia, he is a long time techno enthusiast.  The current focus is on continuing to collect techno records and further time in the studio to polish concepts for release.
The vinyl only mix consists of mainly new records but some choice older selections, that all contribute to an energetic vibe.  
The mix also serves as a platform of respect to guys that make these tracks and continue to release music on wax.
