Ø [Phase] has been a driving force in techno for over two decades, leading the movement with his prototypical, stripped-back sound. Since cutting his teeth at Sony Music London as a mastering engineer in the late ’90s, he’s paved his way unapologetically, often challenging audiences in his relentless pursuit of pure artistry. His stark tracks exude an unbiased confidence that effortlessly commands the dance floor, ripening into quintessential classics. At a deeper glance, his music reveals an unseen complexity that seems to defy time and space—meticulously arranged and fervently produced with technical mastery.

Initially debuting on Steve Bicknell’s Cosmic Records, he became the principal artist of Token Records, eventually launching his own Modwerks label. Besides a steady stream of critically acclaimed releases under his solo moniker, Ø [Phase]’s expansive projects include ongoing collaborations with Luke Slater as Roog Unit and Phyxix alongside Matrixxman. He’s co-produced iconic tracks with UK legends Underworld and crafted definitive remixes for the likes of Robert Hood, Scuba, and Rødhåd, but his momentum won’t stop there. Catch him touring extensively, headlining events at ADE, Berghain, Dekmantel, Fabric, and diverse cities across the globe. Ø [Phase] maintains his position at the forefront of techno innovation, continually redefining the essence of underground music.

VOLUME ONE TORONTO

Roberto (real name: Rob Kirkaldy) is a London based Techno producer, DJ and Remixer. Considered to be one of the most exciting new UK Techno artists in recent years, he combines influences from Detroit and Amsterdam to create his own sound unique to the UK.

As a DJ, he brings a special energy to the dance floor that is the product of many years of dedication to the craft. Never one to let an audience get bored, his sets explore many angles of techno, which has seen him play at some of the most well respected clubs around the world, including fabric in London and both Tresor and Berghain in Berlin. His DJ skills have also made him a popular choice for podcasters, having been called upon to deliver mixes for esteemed shows like the CLR Podcast, Slam Radio and Electric Deluxe.

With an already impressive discography, Roberto has built his production credits with EPs on the likes of Rekids, Fachwerk, ARTS, Solar Phenomena and Obscura, as well as a host of remixes for artists like Jamie Anderson, Roberto Clementi, DJ Rolando and Shinedoe. His own tracks have been remixed by artists such as Steve Rachmad (Sterac), Mike Dehnert, Trevino and Peverelist.

At the beginning of 2015, Roberto launched his own Fossil Archive label. Predominantly a vinyl label (though releases are also available digitally), the ethos of the imprint is that it must not compromise on the sound.

As Roberto said in a recent interview with Data Transmission: “I love the fact that you can hold a piece of music in your hands. They are art pieces in their own right. Music is the product of many years of development; much like a fossil that can be buried deep underground for millions of years, until it is discovered. I wanted to ensure the music is of the highest quality, which means not rushing things.”

Aaron Sevilla es un DJ y productor mexicano con creciente presencia en la cultura techno mexicana y latina; caracterizado por sus mezclas orgánicas y enérgicas se abrió paso hasta conseguir residencias en clubes tan icónicos como AM Local, Americana Club Social y Janis en la Ciudad de México. Ha tenido oportunidad de compartir su música en eventos de prestigio mundial como Burning Man Project (2019), Medusa Sunbeach (México 2019) y Ultra Music Festival (México 2018), logrando así compartir escenario con grandes estrellas: entre las que destacan Carl Cox, Dubfire, Tale of Us, Jamie Jones, Luciano, Marco Carola, Claptone…

Su carrera comenzó en el año 2012, y en 2013 Sevilla realizó un viaje por Europa que enriquecería enormemente su conocimiento y contacto con diversos temas relacionados con la música. Rumbo a 2015, Aaron vuelve a la Ciudad de México a reanudar sus actividades de producción y presentaciones en vivo, a la par que desarrolla el proyecto Pulse Wave como una agencia integral de soluciones para productores de música electrónica incluyendo bookings, radio shows, promoción de eventos, plataforma de streaming, entre otras. Mediante tal agencia ayuda a potenciar las carreras de artistas como Oliver Koletzki, Rafa Barrios, Chus, Yaya, Ameme, De la Swing, Maga, Oscar L, entre otros; a la vez que acumula múltiples experiencias sobre la industria musical.

Con el tiempo además ha sido apoyado por artistas de talla internacional como Black Coffee, Simone Vitullo, Richie Hawtin, Peppe Citarella, Natema, Mijangos y otros. Así, desde 2021 Aaron ha ocupado diferentes posiciones en las listas principales de las tiendas de música electrónica más relevantes, incluido el #1 en Afro House Chart en Beatport y el #1 en el ranking Afro Latin Traxsource.

Ya en 2018 incursiona por primera vez con presentaciones en el extranjero, haciendo vibrar tierra colombiana en uno de los clubes de mayor relevancia a nivel mundial: Baum Bogotá. Durante el tiempo de confinamiento continúa trabajando con presentaciones en línea de impacto global, ahora conduce un radio show en la estación de música electrónica más importante de México: Beat 100.9 FM, y se encamina hacia el futuro encendiendo fiestas cada vez más grandes en lugares cada vez más interesantes. Sevilla es ahora considerado uno de los talentos más prometedores de la escena underground mexicana según DJMAGmx.
