Cold Project, the South African psytech maestro returns to Nuclear Rites with 'The Divide Pt. 2', An expedition deep into the cryptic depths of sonic mysteries, navigating the shadowy mazes of its most profound abyss. Here, darkness and melody are fused in a dance of shadow and light; a promise to resonate with the untold stories that lie dormant in the soul.

At Nuclear Rites, our pride is immense as we herald another gem from our cherished friend. Await its arrival on December 28th, a date signaling not just a launch, but the birth of a new sonic era.

The Divide pt 2

Argentine-born and Chile-based producer CementO returns to Holiday Addict with Unsane Vision, a techno EP that functions as both sonic time capsule and personal manifesto. Composed largely of unreleased material dating back two decades, this release captures the raw tension of an era marked by global anxiety — filtered through distorted rhythms, relentless BPMs, and politically charged samples that still sting with relevance.

The sound design is unapologetically abrasive. Kick drums land like blunt-force trauma, wrapped in analog hiss and saturated beyond conventional thresholds. Synths don’t shimmer — they groan, corrode, and rupture across the stereo field, channeling a type of industrial decay that feels less like aesthetic choice and more like existential condition. CementO leans into chaos, rejecting polish in favor of emotional directness.

What unifies the EP is its refusal to compromise. Each track is built to provoke, with dense rhythmic programming that borders on hostile and textures that demand physical spaces — dark clubs, illegal warehouses, nowhere polite. George W. Bush-era speech fragments interspersed across the record don’t serve as commentary; they’re used like debris, embedded in the concrete mix of CementO’s sonic architecture.

Unsane Vision doesn’t seek approval — it asserts presence. It’s techno that snarls rather than seduces, grounded in a DIY ethos and a clear desire to sound different for every pair of ears. For listeners drawn to the genre’s confrontational edges, CementO delivers something bracing, unfiltered, and fiercely rooted in its own logic.
