The festive season is here and I just hit 2 million plays, so it's a double celebration. Now if, like me, you think that nothing says Christmas like a bit of soul-crushingly dark techstep then I'm sure this festive offering won't disappoint. Indeed, this idea is one I've been sat on for a while; my mixing habits have definitely slowed this year but I really wanted to grind a decent one out before 2025. 

The mix rationale then. Caught up somewhere between my 500th listening of Trace & Ed Rush's legendary '97 One In The Jungle set, and the preceding year's Tech Steppin compilation, I found myself asking a simple question. What if the legendary (and it really is fucking legendary) 'No U-Turn Experience' mix had been made a year earlier? This mix presents a more chilled side of Dillinja. These are mostly tunes from '94 to '96, when he was a studio hermit putting in his 10,000 hours and finding his sound. The tough beats and chest crushing bass are present, but these earlier tracks have a breathy ambience that nicely balance the heaviness. IMO 30 years on they still smoke 99% of today's jungle revival tracks. Track list is below. Enjoy!
