Codename: RCRDS are proud to present the 2nd solo artist EP on the label with the exceptionally talented NonRev delivering five lush atmospheric jungle / drum and bass tracks. 

 Heavily inspired by the music of LTJ Bukem and Good Looking Records, Voyager, DJ Trax, PFM and other 90s legends, you can expect relentless old breakbeats, big 808s and vibey jazz samples all drenched in reverb and nostalgia with a decidedly modern twist.

 The EP opens with ‘Never Again’, where lush keys and synth vox’s meet rolling breaks and deep rumbling bass. Things move into an eerier direction with the catchy guitar riff and deep stabbing synth tones of ‘Inconsequential’, before things switch back into a more rolling direction with ‘Have Life Will Travel’.

 The stunning ‘Stay With Me’ seamlessly interplays several vocals with rolling breaks and an infectious bassline, before the EP closes with the gorgeous title track ‘Sun At Midnight’.

After releasing a METHXX EP back in 2021 we're very pleased to welcome back the Mancunian pair Response & Pliskin, this time as they lower the tempo for a retro-themed EP on HeadzState.

Built on a foundation of hypnotic melodies and high-class basslines, 'An Apparent Labour of Love' explores some of Response & Pliskin's deepest influences. Known primarily for their much-loved signature jungle sound, this is a breath of fresh air for both producer and label.

Order Up - John Dory [Loose Yet Tight] PREMIERE

Unofficial drum and base/ jungle bootleg of Enya’s classic Orinoco Flow — with chopped breaks, and heavy subs. I woke up with it in my head one morning last year and had to make it.  I recently dropped it at Boomtown fair as a joke but it went down an absolute storm, so I’m sharing it here for free.
