The Locked Up music boss has delivered a stunning 4-track EP that expresses his deep, signature junglist sound balancing the dark and light ever so beautifully, as always. He has kindly put together this incredible mix to promote the forthcoming EP that will be released on 24th February 2023 featuring tracks from his release. The outstanding Bristol-based producer returns to Soul Deep with these 2 unique masterpieces of Liquid Drum & Bass magic.  With regular releases on Soul Deep, Smooth N Groove, Liquid Drum & Bass 4 Autism, Emcee Recordings, Rhythm Syndicate, Fokuz, and Innerground Music, Blade has been one of the leading producers in the Drum & Bass scene.  

The Twilight EP is another example of his excellent production abilities, showing off his deeper, and edgier side, while staying true to his roots.  The title track, “Twilight,” hits the drop and takes off with its rolling drums, gritty mid bass stabs, slick fx sounds, and rolling 808 bassline.  The track morphs into a deep Liquid groove when the lush piano chords and Rhodes piano arpeggiation sounds are introduced to the track.  This one’s an instant classic of a roller that screams BLADE!  “You Can’t Fix This,” is up next and also highlights Blade’s signature rolling drums, 808 bassline, soaring pad samples, and heartfelt vocals. M-zine returns to Sofa Sound Bristol with a very special project - his debut album, 'Know When You're Ready'.

It's a milestone moment for an artist whose output has matured, marinated and developed for over a decade to a natural pinaccle.

M-zine represents everything we love at Sofa Sound and the album is layered with warm textures and organic tones to form a rich body of work with great depth that rewards both your patience and your sound system.

With influences rooted in dub, techno, funk and soul, M-zine embraces the lost art of simplicity and is focused on getting the most out of just 4 or 5 core elements so everything works together nicely in the mix.

Written mostly during covid; clubs were closed, but M-zine had his rig at home and used the isolation to craft his own little soundscape; something pure and introspective, nice and simple.

Its subtle, meditative and Sofa Sound through and through - a warm collection of tracks for you to appreciate.

Next is up label boss Section teaming up with two D&B heavyweights; Kumarachi and Jaise. Both tracks are hard hitting with all the funk you would expect from these producers. We've heard them both destroy dancefloors from Brighton to Melbourne and we can't wait for you to hear them.

After a first release very noticed by Bungle, Sound Enforcers welcomes this time the prodigy M-zine, one of the best kept secrets from Belgium.

M-zine have just released their excellent debut album 'Know When You're Ready' on Bristol's Sofa Sound label. He has also signed to some of the hottest labels on the scene such as 31 Records, Dispatch Recordings or Commercial Suicide to name a few.

M-zine opens this new project with the track '150 Miles From Earth' in collaboration with his Belgian friend Atmospherix. A modern and trippy drum & bass that should shake more than one on the dancefloor. 'EightOEight' wants to be more deep & funky, again combining modernity and old-school influence to get something original out of it. Then come 'Clip2' and 'Tools' in a minimal and mental register, loaded with techno influences. Simple & effective.
