It’s always fascinating to witness an artist’s evolution and how their vision expands over time. A perfect example is our friend ESPCTRL, who consistently delivers electronic music rich with unique sonic landscapes.

His latest release, Abandonware, is a journey through forgotten worlds, where glitchy textures meet the nostalgia of old-school video game soundscapes.

The opening track, Kafkaesque, invites the listener into an unsettling yet captivating realm — weaving human voices into a surreal gateway that leads to a mysterious, unexplored dimension.

From there, Holy Ghost continues the narrative, as the audio protagonist becomes trapped in an otherworldly limbo. Neither heaven nor hell, this is a space suspended in eerie beauty and shadowy tension.

The third chapter, Mellifluous, reveals ESPCTRL at his most refined — blending elegance with intricate IDM structures and glitch-driven detail. It evokes the feeling of wandering through dark dungeons, embarking on side quests before facing the true danger ahead.

Finally, Liminal arrives as the EP’s final boss — a destructive yet tender force that dissolves everything in its path. This is the ultimate battle, both in-game and in life, where beauty and chaos collide.

DJ, Producer, and rising label head, Microm Dee emerged on the scene with a clear vision and a series of House tracks, but the key is that he has continued to deliver on that initial promise years later. With a long-standing love for classic House music, as well as a pure production aesthetic, he synthesizes the most symbolic sounds of House and Deep House to create his own representation and reinvention of the genre. “ For me it is just a sound that represents the environment of where I came from” His 7+ year career led him to found the popular brands *Soul in Beats* and *Asthetics Music*, where he serves as Label Manag- er, promoting innovative thinking in House music.
