The Doormouse finally emerges from the shadows of his bass-lined burrow with a sound all his own. “Late to the Groove” is his heartfelt, funky apology to the Wonderland crew—because, of course, he’s sorry he’s late. The little plump wanderer didn’t make it onto the main album with the others, lost somewhere between the desert winds and the thump of his own rhythm. But what he brings now is pure soul: desert-funk riffs, dust-sparkled bass lines, and the quiet strength of someone who shows up in his own time, carrying melodies worth waiting for.

With the Queen of Hearts’ Castle glittering on the horizon, the Doormouse steps forward at last—small, round, determined, and grooving. This is his journey, his apology, and his triumph. Better late than never. And absolutely worth the wait.

Slow Drip Fantasy

A powerful and dramatic song about the deconstruction and reconstruction of faith. The lyrics describe the painful and disorienting experience of watching religious certainty crumble, where "stained glass starts to fade" and "dogma feels like chains." The core message is a radical re-framing of this crisis: it's not a failure of effort ("your grind") but a necessary act of divine intervention ("my Grace"). The song uses the powerful image of a "fault line opening" to portray this foundational shift. It moves from the chaos of doubt to a triumphant, almost defiant final chorus that speaks of a direct, personal infusion of the divine—where breath becomes being and boundlessness breaks brokenness. It's an anthem for anyone who has had their faith fall apart, only to find it fall into a more authentic and liberating place.
