“Wrote This Song To Say Goodbye Girl” by Wally Bartfay and Stephen Wrench tells the story of a breakup message written in the form of a recorded song. He knew this girl since they were high school sweethearts, moved in together, and had lots of good times together over the years. However, he discovers via text messages on his girlfriend’s phone that she has been fooling around behind his back and has betrayed their relationship, trust and hi-jacked their love. After careful thought and some serious drinking, he decides to pack-up his truck and leave her the next day. He writes and records a break-up song to let her know how he feels about her betrayal in this relationship.  This song produced by Musik and Film, mixed by Wayne Killus and mastered by Robyn Robbins of Bob Seager's Silver Bullet Band.  
 On June 25, 2025, this song hit No. 12 on the Euro Indie Network Music chart list and was No. 22 on the World Indie Music Chart Top 100 List.

 This song began as a musical letter written, composed, and sung by Carl to Eclectic Collective. Carl and Josh had been sniffing around each other's pages, admiring each other's work and collaborators. So Carl reached out with this friendly, uplifting song, as a gift to the band. 
  Ken was first in line, adding his awesome, driving drums to give us a heartbeat to build upon. Josh came along next and completed the rhythm section with his trusty four-string fretless bass. Stephen was next up to bat, adding his dynamic raspy guitar, which almost sounds like an electrified fiddle. Next up, Mark added the tasteful VST strings arrangement in the second half of Carl's original composition.  
  We had it pretty much done sounding, but wanted to spice it up a bit, so we came up with the idea for a coda. Josh added his bass and synth for it, and Tez came up with the thrilling guitar part of it, as well. Tez also added the thrilling guitar intro, too. 
  Once it was in the can, we asked Tez to mix and produce it for us, which he did in his always expert fashion.
  This is the first song EC has done with Carl, but we know it won't be the last. We all admire him for his creativity, proficiency, and prolificacy. His page is worth a stroll, too, as it contains a lot of gems.
  We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it.

We took part in a dinner dance for a Lao-Viet-Thaï-Hmong “Catholic Group of Friends” on April 05, 2025.

It's been 7 years (2018) since we played live. We usually play in threes... On this particular evening, there were only two of us, and a guitarist was missing. Except that we weren't no longer used to playing continuously... In fact we hadn't rehearsed much. We'd just fine-tuned our repertoire, so there were bound to be a few slip-ups... you'll see. 😊
