‘Composition’ and ‘Debris’ pull together a production standard which the producer has worked on since he began methodically making music. Growling bass, waif-like drum patterns and steadily firing beats wind up into a drop of cataclysmic proportions. Building step by step, the intensity begins to increase, becoming an overwhelming sonic hurricane, dragging you down with its seismic explosion of bass. The journey is unforgiving, sending blow after blow of heavy distortion alongside a relentless bassline, gradually becoming more aggressive as the track lays down the depths of its mix. Immersion isn’t afraid to live up to his namesake, with an unprecedented opener that grabs you instantly. Likely to have explosive consequences on the dancefloor, ‘Composition’ is here to take you into the darkness of night. And from its first sequence, there’s no turning back.

‘Debris’ throws itself at you with clutching hands, clawing at your aural synapses with its gritty bass rhythms and sharp-edged hooks. More understated than its predecessor but with just as much impact, ‘Debris’ rattles between its hard-lined percussion and expansive bass peddles. Every quaking sub ricochets throughout the track’s entirety, with each pad as devastating as the last. Immersion once again envelops you in his carefully styled sound, one which rolls over you in waves as you become entrenched in the track’s fabric. Together, the tracks embody the path which Immersion has been on since the beginning. 

With the burgeoning label becoming more notorious over the past year, this next single is sure to further push their position as innovators. Artists like Immersion prove the viability of 40Hertz’s roster, becoming an impenetrable force across drum & bass and the wider dance music circuit.

Whiney’s underground drum & bass flare has flourished since signing exclusively to Med School. Now he’s set and ready to present his incredible debut album ‘Talisman’ - a symbol of his dedication to D+B with a strong 12-track collection of dancefloor weapons.

The hard-hitting album opener ‘Talisman’ sets the pace with epic musicality, industrial bleeps and fat, meaty basslines. Matching up with the heavyweight business are ‘Archive’ and ‘Rock Hopper’. Plus ‘Minds Collide’ can’t be missed – a middle-eastern influenced half-time stepper that matches up with the exuding attitude of ‘Portal’ that's already received support from neuro giants Noisia.

Whiney’s joined forces with Hospital’s Brazilian mastermind on ‘Sun Kissed’, balancing choppy vocal snippets with Urbandawn’s signature percussions and growling subs. Turning to melancholic movements is ‘The Farthest Shore’ and ‘Never Too Long’ the latter a collaboration with long-term label mate Keeno and lead by a strong vocal topline from Whiney himself. A final collaborative effort comes from Med School’s resident MC Inja who’s brought his lyrical genius to Whiney’s deep roller ‘Flashlight’.
