Born on the southside of Chicago, D'Andre Skyles (born Frank D'Andre Brown) knew at an early age that he was less fortunate than others. But what he lacked in material wealth he made up for with intelligence and ambition. D'Andre's parents moved him to the suburbs in hopes of him having a better education. They couldn't have been more right. He excelled in all his studies, but most importantly, music, with learning how to play the trumpet in 3rd grade. Before leaving junior high, he was awarded numerous medals and honors for his many contributions to his jazz and concert bands. When Skyles entered into high school he decided to take his natural-born ability to sing to a whole new level, with joining various choirs. In his senior year, D'Andre was invited to be a part of the IMEA All-State Choir, which was the culmination of coming into his own with his voice. All while this was happening, he embraced hip-hop on a large scale, with freestyling wherever he went, to writing his own songs. He then took on the moniker D'Andre Skyles, using his middle name as his first and his mother's maiden name as his surname. Later it became an acronym synonymous with his music: Dropping Skills Keeps You Loving Every Second. As Skyles was honing his vocal craft, he explored another realm in music; production. With every day passing, D'Andre Skyles' mission is very clear: deliver good music while becoming the quintessential artist.

I want to work with hiphop artists, poets, producers. Anyone that wants to make or needs music for a project can contact me. I want to learn all I can and contribute in anyway I can. I make hiphop intrumentals but I am open to trying anything. I write and record music. I live in Chicago, IL but if you don't and you want to make music, I could send you a beat, you record yourself to it, send it back, and I will record myself to it and we are done.
